Any chance you could elaborate on the Active Tension command and why and when you would add that to the pattern? I’ve made patterns with and without it and honestly cant see much difference?
Basically, you would use that if you have different patterns on 1 machine, each requiring a different tension setting. That way you do not have to rely on the operator to adjust each time. Another good use would be an application where you are sewing multiple layers. You could adjust the tension at the points in the pattern at the various layers.
@@camatronsewing thank you. Is this command also related to the stitch-by-stitch tension described in the lk1900b manual on page 39? A video describing the more advanced options in pm-1 wouls be awesome and greatly apprechiated 👌🏻😄
@@Simpen84 I've never used that function directly on the machine as described on page 37 (in my book) for stitch by stitch tension adjustment, but yes that would do the same. I prefer to do this using the PM-1 since then it is permanently built in to the pattern. Doing it directly, it seems that it would need to be stored as a P-1 type button to keep the modifications. Some day I will create another video showing more details on the PM-1! Thanks
@@camatronsewing Thanks for the reply! I can see the benefit of doing it directly in PM-1 and will experiment with that. Looks like a pretty useable function. Please do! A video detailing the different mechanical commands and how/when to use them would be great seeing how the help-documentation of PM-1 really sucks.
