pretty sure my dad was at this show. Tells me it was completely free and no one had any idea who Led Zeppelin were.

On my quest for everything Zep. Next stop Kinetic circus in Chicago. Unfortunately it's demolished.

(RE: at 1:20 we see a text about who opened for whom)...I have a pretty good memory for 70 yrs. old and would swear that 3DN played before Zep. I snuck in for free near the end of the whole affair through a gate that was left ajar. Most of the show I watched from outside the actual theater. I remember straining my neck to watch The Dogmeisters show from the outside but then found that open gate, snuck in, and watched the end of Zeppelin's show from an empty seat right across the water from the stage. I don't know who got top billing but that's the sequence of performances I remember.

You are correct, sir! LZ did indeed close the show! A group called Spring opened, then Jaime Brockett, who sang a minor hit "The Legend of the Titanic", then Three Dog Night where the highlight was their excellent drummer's solo with just he's hands. He threw his sticks into the pond towards the crowd and my buddy dove in after them and secured one of them. Another band played I don't recall then Led Zep. Great show! I don't know where the idea came that TDN closed.

I wonder if the sound carried all the way across Puget Sound? Speaking of loud music, those were the days when we first were hearing of Environmental Impact Statements being necessary to examine possible threats to the environment from a proposed event or construction project. Do you think a Zeppelin concert was exempted or had to comply with something like that?

If everyone in Seattle that says they were at that show was there they could have filled the Kingdome twice over. They were loud and you really couldn't hear the music anyone saying it was great probably wasn't really there. Or two stoned.!! The 77 Kingdom concert royally sucked. Jimmy Page with his ridiculous 20-minute violin bow solos that never went anywhere never meant anything. Great albums f*** them live. Peace

I sat 6 feet in front of the front row for the entire show. Both Led Zeppelin and Three Dog Night were great! Everyone in the place knew who Led Zeppelin was....not so in November 68 when they opened for Vanilla Fudge in the Seattle Center. Glad to sat that I was there as well. A few weeks after the show at Greenlake Zeppelin played the Seattle Pop Festival in Woodinville and the Grateful Dead did a show at the Greenlake venue

@@jeffhammers5677 Wow, that's really cool you saw them in late 68 opening for Vanilla Fudge at Seattle Center Arena, just after Christmas 1968. And then you saw them again at Green Lake opening for 3 Dogs Night? That's the coolest. 🎸🥁. Seattle Pop is legendary. Only time they played with The Doors on the same night. If a bootleg recording ever comes up of Zep playing Seattle Pop, it would be the Holy Grail of all Zep bootlegs. Do you remember much about that show with The Doors?
