Bro your Ironclad videos are dope... Ty for all the info since the presentation o7. I know everything is subject to change until we get a functional ship but, but, butt (thick drake butts); there is are some very interesting details on the concept when you get a look to the 3d model. One of the mentioned details is the front tractor beam at the front left of the ship, it looks like its attached to a crane arm mechanism, IT'S FIRE 🔥. One of the points on the brochure that we got is that the main body and the command module have independent pilot and copilot seats. Maybe the first idea of the concept was that it could be flown either from the main bridge or the command module. Its almost a nerf that we can't do it. You can corroborate this by reading the each of the brochure pages, considering it has 3 pages (one for the command module, one for the base, and one for the assault) each one with the pilot and copilot seats mentioned. This last point I want to make is my personal opinion so take it with a bag full of salt 🧂, it doesn't matter you cant get the Vulture inside the Ironclad, when you got a brig full of prisioners that can perfectly preform manual salvage on their own ships. They can pay for their lives with some quality work time (you got an interior turret and the railings for the gunners on top of the cargo bay). Of course I got myself a Pirate 🦜 Clad..... sorry a Ironclad Base. The Assault seems fun too, just not made for my evil ways.... Keep up the good work!
Thanks and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I already picked it up so I may have to take on piracy if the Vulture doesn’t fit. Although, I still think pirates are going to want a salvager on speed dial eitherway. Salvager does salvage work throughout the verse, then when called shows up to clean up pirated ships. Then gets an escort to the station. Splits shares.
Wish I'd seen this when you posted the video. I am a Hauler/Salvager/Explorer and bought the C2 to IronClad CCU. With Jump Points coming online, of course I'd take the Vulture into the IronClad into Pyro to Salvage; potentially coming back into Stanton to do trade. So, obviously, I'd expect to take time to load the Vulture... and it had better NOT be some tiny issue such as IronClad bay HIEGHT, or an immovable gantry, etc.
@@iantsears it’s hard to say if it’ll fit but they even put in the Jump Point magazine about pulling a 400i into the bay as well. Quoting from that magazine article “ A compliment of tractor beams to tuck a captured 400i into the bay”
If they would make the Assault slightly taller, it would probably be a more enticing offer than it currently is. It currently seems more like a ground vehicle carrier than a multiple purpose carrier.
Bare bones, if this ship doesn't have the means to evacuate the condition space, prior to opening the doors. This ship will be a no go for me. Still way to many weed level details not discussed.
I’m still not quite sure how they’ll implement this as it’s not in game now. I get the concept but not sure how the game will take on the physics of it
@@Guardian_Templar so.. im not sure what your expecting. but things like from the climax of aliens. where a door opens and it take 10 minutes for the air to rush out and the entire time boxes and loose material fly out with thousands of pounds o force and suck people into the vacuum of space.. that's not going to happen. its not remotely realistic. the room would just go from around 14 pounds of pressure to 0. to put this into perspective the average can of soda is at 50-60 psi which drops to normal atmospheric pressure of around 14 or so in the millisecond it takes to break the seal. so.. the contents of the average soda experience a higher change in pressure then opening any atmospheric room in space. the only affect would be a hiss, maybe your helmet fogs over for a second. ...and then your in a vacuum.
Further, the C2 is a hangar LARGE. The IronClad a hangar X-LARGE. However, the loaner ship for the IronClad is a Caterpillar (Large hangar). Frustrating that the loaner forces a downgrade of owned ship SCU capacity AND smaller hangar. Result? Bought the CCU and cannot (should not) apply the CCU as everything logical about this is a penalty to us. Really? Really CIG?? Do you WANT the money....
This thing is going to stay a JPEG for at least 3 years. I understand needing to make content but any answers they give now can change in the next 3 years.

@@Guardian_Templar I agree. It should be faster your way, more productive on the long run o7.

@@Guardian_Templar Well THANK you. ...now... (looks for that old bookmark of ship profile comparisons...)

yup, def agree!

why would that be an issue?
