My parents didn't quite understand video games, so it wouldn't be terribly often we'd play one together. However, Mario Party 8 was something my mom loved, and would suggest we play it time and time again. Fantastic memories.
The best map is Koopa’s Tycoon Town by far. One of the best maps in the whole series because of how chaotic it is. Also the music in this game is way too good

Mario party 8 was in that mixed bag. The game ideas and how it runs as a mario game was a banger, but the smoothness of the game and trying to deal with the damn sensor bar was not though. One of my favs and the more games ive seen more of the trauma came into light 😂

Mario Party 8 is my childhood game. I play that game a lot nowadays too. This game and Mario party 9 gave me the enjoyment of the Mario Party Series. No matter how bad or good it was to others, I’ll love Mario Party No matter what. (Except Advance) Also, you should’ve played this game with Vernias, he loves Mario Party 8.
17:07 Simple math wise, 3 players have the advantage. 9 is 3 panels for three players. 4 is 4 panels for one player. This technically means that the person alone has to do more to get each panel before the 3 players. The problems are coordination and it’s slightly harder to recognize the correct squares.
You guys should find a way to do Mario party 10. I play this with my parents and friends on our Wii U, and it is absolute chaos and I think that it would be comedy gold if you guys were to do it.

Depending on the board you choose can be chaotic like I know the Koopa board you can buy banks and if someone lands they can give a certain amount of coins and if say you give like I think 20 coins you get Star and if someone lands on your bank they can do more coins and steal your star and upgrade your bank or any bank and the higher the bank or upgraded the more stars you get and you can steal others banks and steal their stars which is fun

The only thing I hate about this game is that you can only play as your Miis in extra mode.

Mario part 8 is my second favorite Mario party and for good reason.
Honnestly, DK’s Jungle is the weakest map in 8. It’s the only one that works on normal Mario Party rules buuuut 8 doesn’t thrive with that.
