9:42. Just thought I would say that the Hide and Seek game isn't unbalanced. Casey could see the pointers but doesn't know when the three press A to confirm their hiding spot
Yeah when pressing A , it doesn’t make a sound but it registers the input of where to hide.
It’s similar to hide and sneak (from Mario Party 3), I guess.
Aye, it's not Unbalanced, but it is a bit poorly designed. One or two of the hiding spots, like the bouncy horses, don't disguise your miis at all, so hiding there's a throwaway.

@@MarkoIronFistThere is actually an strategy to the visible spot. The seeker can see whether there are miis hiding there or not, so he/she won't waste a turn looking there if no one chose it. When you do the calculation, is actually easier to find three people hiding in six possible places with five attempts than it is to find two people hiding in six possible places in four attempts. So the best thing the team can do is this: One of the players hides in the visible spot, and the rest in whichever other.

with the 1 vs 3 hide minigame, the thing is about moving your pointer around all the time and to make others believe you hid on another place
By the way, the main strategy of hide and seek is that you can change your decision afterwards

Also, never hide or pick the middle one (it's possible to see the players for the seeker)

Wii Party is criminally underrated! The modes are unique yet engaging, and the minigames are top-notch. I've played this game so many times, that I can win every minigame against Master CPUs without much trouble. Glad to see you guys play this (and eventually Wii Party U).

Edit: Also, the way the hide-and-seek game is meant to work is you select a location with A, and then you mix up the seeker with the pointer.

9:12 the point is that you can see the pointer, you need to confuse the seeker where you are hiding by like pointing at different objects but not clicking to hide

Wii Party U’s board game island is definitely worse than the originals, but the extra modes like the drawing and photo ones are so much fun.
Sadly we probably won't see them suffer vs Wii Party U master CPUs like Poofesure has. On the plus side, I'd love to see more people suffer against the ostrich.

I already left a big ol comment on the post for the announcement for this but long story short I've loved this game since I was 4 and played it with my brother and my cousin for the last 10 years. Besides a group of famous Japanese youtubers playing it, you guys are the only group I"ve watched of Wii Party cause this game is seriously underrated
The youtuber Poofesure plays it on all difficulty levels and loses his mind, I highly recommend it XD

The nostalgia is so rich here, I love Wii party so much.
For the Hide n' Seek minigame, it's one of the few minigames that requires having Wii remote rumble turned on.
This is because, when the Hiders press the A button on their desired hiding spot, the wii remote will rumble/vibrate to confirm a Hider's hiding place has been selected

Okay I’ll summarize it:
Pretty much you play a minigame before the turn, instead of after it, the prizes for the mini games aren’t coins but a bonus die for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The golden die for first has all six numbers, the silver die for second I think has up to four, and the bronze die for third has up to three. As for Last Place, they get nothing!
It makes me really happy watching adult people still playing this game
