I played in goal for my first time a few weeks ago. We scored twice then I conceded twice for the first half, second was just back and forth until me somehow causing a penalty 85 minutes in(it wasn’t a penalty in my opinion, no way) and I remember just staring him down and saving it. Best feeling ever. Next match we won and found out we got to the semi-finals in the league because of drawing that game. Hahaha 😂
I find it also works looking at which foot they start there runnup with when standing over the ball. And also where their shoulders are shaded is the most telling. I was able to make some clutch pen saves this season without watching this vid and im using these videos to help me come back even stronger for next season
No idea what the actual number of pens I've stopped in a match are. For whatever reason I've never really had to face too many. But have kept the last two I've faced in a competitive match out of the net.
Great video. I always used a similar technique and kept an eye on their hips to see if they open up and show me where they are shooting. But at the higher levels shooters are good at disguising it. Keeping an eye on their chest is even better
Watch this video yesterday before a cup, we draw and went to penalties of best of 3 and i save 2 of the first shot and we won the game everybody came to me celebrating. it was a core memory for me. Thankyou for the tips really appreciate your work 🙏
I would normally be an attacker but I was playing in a match and the goalkeeper got a red card and we did not have a substitute goalkeeper so I had to go in and I conceded a penalty and we lost and the coach said that he wants me to be the backup goalkeeper and I trained and watched your videos these really help now I’m the first choice goalkeeper and I saved a penalty in our last game
Hey Tyler, thanks for this great Tutorial! I was wondering what you think about these faking techniques like the one from yassine bono. Against spain for example he always faked once or twice before jumping to the opposite corner. And also whats your advice against strikers that use this hesitation hop like lewandowski? Thanks a lot
Can u please make a vid on communication. Not just the basics like push up, drop back and man on but more specific things cuz I've heard that scouts like constant communication ( Personal communication; as in directly to a certain player).
Guessing you've seen my one video on communication. There's really not any secret with communication as far commands go. 90% of what I say in games is just using those really basic commands. The tough part is identifying a potential problem before it actually becomes one and knowing where to position your players to help avoid it.
Great video and thoroughly explained. Thanks for that, I would like to add that if you do not know which foot the opponent will shoot with, you can roll the ball to him and notice which foot is taking it, practically sure that he will use same foot. Great stuff in here, obviosly 👍🏻 and Sub 🔴
Hey man u probably won’t see this comment but I binged your videos last night and just played the game of my life in a national tournament. I also saved a pk.
Hello, I am a u14 goalie in the US and I really need a video on hand positioning/ready position. I’ve been a goalie for 2 years now but I really need to improve my set position. Thanks Btw the videos help a lot
Man!! @gk goluremi Can it also worked if you waited a split second after the ball get kicked and reflexes jump to block the shot? And what if you started from behind the line and jump a little towards the line to give more speed momentum when you jump try to block the shot? I'm sorry if I ask to much hehe
Gracias, mi querido Gominola. Estoy mejorando mucho con tus videos. Te llamo Gominola porque es una gomita de ositos, y tu nombre Goluremi me suena similar a eso.
Is is possible to not take the power step that you mentioned but rather shuffle to the side you think so if they go down the middle you have a better chance of getting it.
I had a quarter-final on one of my first games the game went to extra time i saved a shot on the line then the game went to pens straight after it about the 5-6th pen took i saved it and won 4-3 on pens
My problem is that I every time guess the right side where the ball goes but I'm a little unconfidemt so every time it goes in goal of my hand...out of my last 4 pens I guessed the side ever time but saved only one
My son is a goalkeeper and just finished his 7th grade season. There are videos on how to dive properly. I think this very channel covers that technique. You will get it. Also, I watched a video on the mental side of being a player. To put it simply, the body follows the mind. If you are having doubts before a game, your body will react differently than if you believe you can make the necessary saves. Be positive and believe in yourself.
Tbh, I've been a keeper for 25 years, I don't agree with the wasting time thing and talking to the ref, if he scores and u are a goal down, that time wasted can be crucial for your team if a comeback is needed, talking to the ref can make u see an unnecessary yellow card, i am pretty good in penalty stops, I think the thing u wanna do is intimidate de shooter, stop his shooting routine by touching the ball once is on the dot, make him put it again in the previous position, stare at his eyes close to him no matter what u have to keep eye contact with him before the ref tells u to go back to the line, don't flinch, eventually he will have to stop looking at u to look at the ball, and subconsoulsy that's a small battle won for u, the intimidation has already began, move one side to the other over the goal line, to make it hard for him to make a decision and last, trust ur first intuition, and stick with the side ur intuition is telling u, I have a record in the las 4 seasons of 11 penalties, 4 goals 4 stops and 3 misses, so I think I can talk about it.
i personally just laugh in the strikers face in the time wasting phase and repeatedly tell them stuff that would play on their mind, like ‘all the pressure is on you mate’. it tends to just put the striker on edge. PKs are all about intimidation for me.
@@GKGOLUREMI , my son wears glasses. I told him if he would be more responsible with those, we could get contacts and it would make a huge difference. Sound advice.
I remember when my team got to semi finals one season and the game went to penalties and I saved the final shot to win the game 😅
Congratulations bro, reading this is satisfying
Kakhi what country u from bro

Im playing my semi-finals tomorrow and hopefully if we go to pens I could use this advice
@gk goluemi can you give a honest review on either the beyond professional level gloves or Dutch goalkeeper
i just watched unai simon's saves vs croatia in nation league final shootout, the technique was just unreal. it brings me here

I also like to start a bit inside the goals , i thought i was the only one who does.
Thanks again I have improved a lot because of you
Love to hear it man!

You aren't allowed to start behind the line. And unless it's a really poor pk you really don't have time to react to the ball after its kicked
This really helped! Tank you

Wow Nk Jarun goalkeeper

My mans representing va. Love to see it
Can't wait to be back over the holidays
Explosiveness on legs to make a jump on a quarter of second thats my advice
Do you have any tips on how to get more height on goal kicks? Love the channel btw, keep up the good work

Yo bro are all your gloves in your website finger protected?
Most of them have removable finger protection but some don't. You can see which ones do under the description of each glove on the website.
@@GKGOLUREMI thanks bro you really helped me during my trainings man god bless you good lock on your club
4:28, striker is vibing :)
Handsome goalkeeper...do you like Italy?
I havent saved a pk in 2 years. Im like 0 saves in my last 8 pks. I will try these tips
My first inspiration for you
Can you make a video about parrying and deal with hard shots?
What a Pro tip!
Love being a goalie but diving hurts and i am afeared of it. I just hope i will get over it. 💪💪💪💪
If diving hurts you're doing it wrong bud but you'll get it! 💪🏻

in street football there is no such thing as var mybe . so is going beyond any agtage like cuutting down angle but then what about reaction time ?
can you make one for trying to train 8th grade GK
can u do how to save powershots or longshots

Hey I don’t know if you know this or if it’s my headphones but you audio is bugged
"pretend you dont speak that language" that made me laugh XD
Once I saved a penalty in school football just cause of this video
thankyou
Who do you play for?
I'm not a keeper but If I was this would be helpful

I always walk forward 3-4 steps when the striker has a run up no one is ever sure about if my foot is off always work
So I'm a high school kid playing football for fun, I play gk and I wear glasses, how can I stop being scared of the ball???
All of the keepers I know who need glasses wear contacts when playing. I'm guessing that will help a lot.
@@GKGOLUREMI , my son wears glasses. I told him if he would be more responsible with those, we could get contacts and it would make a huge difference. Sound advice.
I just look at the direction of the ball and where it's heading
I will try this cuz we have a mean guy who shoots so hard that it feels like being hit by a car
Is having ripped pants all part of being a goalie? My daughter is one and I'm noticing she's starting to rip hers. :-(
Don't save the saves you can save, save the saves you can't save
Great vid, been following you for a while. Great tips and tricks. You made me much better. Keep doing what you are doing🫶🏼
Wat if the strikers r also watching this vid
The first few steps are useless
waste time.
