I take 1crossbow and 4archers every time I go fight orcs. They simply thin the herd in just 2turns and the breaking orcs are just easy pickings for my 2-handers
Despite usually losing a few men to orcs, at least more than to other enemies, I still get really thrilled and excited to fight them. The battle tracks of the orcs "scream" violence and brutality, the brass instruments represent the bulwarks you're about to fight, you know they will come down at you with a lot of force, ecstacy and regardlessness to pain, but they will fight you head on without any tricks or surprises, just sheer brutality. Your men know that orcs are violent, but still face them with courage, enough to have a few enemy orcs running away, in an oddly funny way, with fear. The roaring and laughter of the orcs adds to the ambience, demonstrating that your enemy does not only take pride in battle, but potentially fun.
Had a orc warrior make his way into my back row and he got promtly demoralized from that into fleeing. Mind you, he had full armor still but he decided to try and run each round. It was pretty funny
Even though all my brothers have outstanding melee skill and defense i just cant stop fearing those man splitter orc berserkers... and the man splitter orc warlord too.
The scariest encounter I have had with these guys so far, are 5 Orcs. 3 were Orc Young and 2 of them were Berserkers with two handed axes. It was also a caravan escort mission. For those who don't know Berserkers are dangerous from the get go, but get even worse when they kill something. I got nervous when the Berserkers got close to the peasants I was escorting since they have no armour and Berserkers are skilled at one shoting things.
The first minute or so reminds me of Bloody Excrement from Final Fantasy Tactics. Though to be honest that kind of drum beat is probably not that uncommon overall.
