The woman I love just broke up with me 2 weeks ago & it's killing me. I just lost my wife, Jana to COVID 18 months ago so having my relationship with Bobbie end after 6 months makes me feel as if life has it out for me. People keep telling me that if I survived Jana's death that I should be able to handle my breakup with Bobbie but they're not looking at the accumulative damage that it's put on me. I mean, a man can only take so much. But, anyhow, this song really speaks to me. Because over the past two weeks I've often wondered this. Is she listening to any sad songs trying to get over me too or is she carefree & listening to whatever makes her feel good? Probably the latter because the two of us were supposed to go on a Carribean cruise this Saturday, Oct. 1st but I saw on Instagram that she's still going without me. Either with someone new or as a newly single woman. So, obviously, if she's moved on this soon I never could have meant that much to her. And knowing that hurts like hell.
