- It's time for Episode 9 of the Did You Know? Series featuring more things you might not know in WWE 2K23, including new features, secrets, easter eggs and hidden content!
In today's episode we're again focusing on the new Patch 1.08 update, as well as the Steiner Row DLC Pack, as even more new and updated content has been patched in!
Today's featured things include:
- An update to the Smackdown arena that sees the rope colour changed from blue to white
- A big overhaul of the Generic Crowd Signs that sees the majority of the designs updated
- A new Championship Victory motion for Roman Reigns when Paul Heyman is assigned as a manager
- Special Steiner Brothers rivalry commentary when playing as Scott Steiner vs Rick Steiner
- A reference to Top Dolla's infamous outside dive from Michael Cole

The only reason I can think for Pat not making if in is that he still has a contract with the NFL as well, and maybe WWE have to pay the NFL to use him.

Did you know, if you play an exhibition match in the Japan Dome, you'll hear the fans clapping in applause during entrances, which is the done thing in Japan at real wrestling shows rather than rapturous shouts and screams. Small detail I noticed after unlocking it with MyRise.
That also applies to everytime a move is done too.

Do you know if it works the same in Universe? Because that would actually be perfect for my CAW league. I'm using a mix of AEW, NJPW, AAA, Impact, and other groups. Basically anyone that has their moves in. I want to do worldwide PLEs and have the crowd actually feel different.
Did you know if you assign a shoulder block as a running attack to a wrestler against the ropes it could also be used to eliminate opponents in a Royal Rumble.
Oh, when Simon finds out about these crowd signs, he'll feel all warm and fuzzy in his tum tum 😁
In the next patch we need rk-bro’s entrance and victory motion and bring able to take off the straps off of the wrestlers and They need to fix Cody’s alternate attire entrance
Did you know that Ashante has a full mix tag moveset? Possibly hinting that B Fab was gonna be a fully playable character before her model was just used as a manager.

Did you know that Karrion Kross’ entrance has been updated for the lighting
did you know, AJ Styles has unique commentary if he uses the phenomenal forearm multiple times and is kicked out of each time, Michael Cole will make a comment among the lines of "The move he's used to put away many other opponents, but to know avail"

It would be nice to get comments from 2k regarding the missing features from Universe Mode, like entrance break outs and run-in. The Payback ability is currently useless in the mode sadly.

I wonder why Pat couldn’t be in the game. My only guess is that maybe they couldn’t use him due to some kind of licensing issue. Maybe he signed a contract with an American Football game and that’s preventing him from being included. That’s just a guess though. I also wouldn’t blame or criticise 2K for this, they clearly wanted him in the game but for whatever reason weren’t allowed.
I think it has to do with him also having an NFL contract.

You can also change The Bloodine two person tag team to enter separate to get the title entrance with Heyman.
Did you know that Rey Misterio Jr's theme music is still in the game as the WCW Nitro theme song? Can be selected in Create an Entrance as well

Alright, I get it! WWE 2K23 actually seems to have quite a few small differences here and there that are really starting to add up. Buckshot Lariat & Simon Miller signs have cinched it for me hehe

In case what SmackTalks mean by "DLC Pack 5", I think he means the "Bad News U" Pack coming out on August 16th (which is a day after my upcoming 25th birthday). And if Pat McAfee was supposed to be in that "Bad News U" pack, then I think he could've replaced either Damon Kemp or Nathan Frazer.
Frazer is actually someone I'm excited to have in the game, so I would've preferred if he replaced Kemp, or better yet, Zeus.
Or he could have been in that pack as well, and the pack was originally meant to have six wrestlers.

Did you know there is a light strike system in the corner, press A the up & X, side & X, and down X. But a if you hold back on stick then press X you will kick opponent, really nice to position opponent seated in corner

Apparently, the Roman-Heyman entrance is STILL broken on my end. So, I believe that it should be patched, before it can be fixed. I believe the fixed trick doesn't work, since Patch 1.08 broke the Roman & Heyman entrance.
Still broke on mine as well. I’ve done exactly the same as the video shows but it’s not working. Even had to sort out Damage CTRL’s updated entrances as they weren’t working after the patch had supposedly updated it.

I did enable trio entrances for damage control and Steiner brothers and it’s already enables for UsOS but they’re always having separate entries

Another move that had its name changed was one of the crucifix powerbombs. It was renamed Razor’s Edge, as an obvious homage to Razor Ramon
In my Rise , there’s a scene where they show a box and it was titled “Dirty Deeds” (Ready for Battle storyline)

MyGM did you know. Wrestler injury status has been updated to show on the screen where we simulate matches. On the right hand side where it shows if a rivalry grew, if a wrestler was injured it will now mention it there. It will switch between injury/rivalry.

The hidden titantron doesn’t work. I tried it from the person you mentioned in the video and 2 other uploaders that said the tron was included and all I got was a black screen for a titantron on all 3
Did you know that playing the Backlash 03 Arena during the John Cena showcase Michael Cole would say Backlash 03 was the first premium event under the WWE banner but in actual fact it was Judgment Day 2002 (or if you lived in the UK it would of been Insurrextion 2002)
Did you know that the SmackDown referee is broken in Universe Mode for the PS5. When you select SmackDown referee as your default referee for SmackDown and start a match in universe mode, it would only show the regular referee wearing the black and white stripe jersey. It only works in play now matches. 2K needs to patch this.

I noticed this yesterday and I don’t know why this happened I have a CAW that holds two titles but he would always come out with one title, then I assigned a manager and he comes out with two titles

Did you know there's special commentary for matches between Bruno Sammartino and Hulk Hogan. At the start of the match there's mention of them being two of the biggest stars in WWE history and that they're fighting to prove who is truly the best of all time

I had a Caw of Pat that had the titaintron but after the patch it was removed? I tired redownloading but the titaintron still wasn't there. Any idea of a fix?
It’s mean it was removed from the game and not in the files so it’s mean 2 things
He will be a future Free update character or planned for next game

@smacktalks I downloaded the Pat from Iconic but it didn’t come with the titantron and it had the wrong Finishers. How do we add the hidden tron and do we have to change the finishers ourself? Thanks for responding!

It's weird considering they're in MyFaction so even players that play the mode have them, they look generic just with the attires, I don't understand why 2K would have the need to screw with it when it's even in another mode
