Yessir, I believe you should promote Don Losito's Ultra Pro heads. He definitely knows his stuff and puts out top performing products. I used to visit hime occasionally when his shop was on Brookshire Blvd. in Charlotte and was amazed at the extent of R&D, design and manufacturing he is capable of. Thank you.

From about 15 years old (1985!) , when I first started reading back issues of Vizards magazine articles, to this current expose on the IOP, I've personally, because engineers Conviction that they are so important, found that BEMP to be a useless figure, since many 2 valve per cyl NASCAR and some well worked non Siamese intake A series engines eclipse the better non turbo 4 valve engines historically used. I like PLAN
I've tended to use DV's dyno indicated HP and lb-ft figures as index points to aim for, , and dimension them against planimeter port area from the Ford SOHC and A series Mini books. I've always had the 351C 4 Venturi and 2Venturi figures to compare those to, with real Net HP figures from impeccable Ford sources like Mick Webb, Bill Sanatcecione, Larry Widmeyr and the DIn readings from DeTomaso as well as the net factory figures from 1972 to 1974. David, your books have given most of the good stuff on common bread and butter engines, and I've lined them up against everything from Briggs and Stratton s to Richard Holdener s historic Gross HP figures with the idealised 1972 GM Gross to SAE Net loss. I don't like Average Air speed either. Everyone should hit up Don for IOP. If it gets too much interest, I'm sure he has access to the right sort of backup help to control the Tsunami of requests 👍🥝✔️

Hi Mr.Vizard. How much HP potential would you say is possible with unmodified Dart 2 Sportsman 200 cylinder heads (circa 1990 cast iron , 64 cc, straight plugs) on a streetable 327 ? How much $ would your Ultra Pro guy charge for properly porting these heads if he would even be willing to do cast iron? Good to see you back in action. God Bless you Mr. Vizard.

Something I’ve wondered about and questioned regarding exhaust in particular, is what is the optimal cross section profile / shape for ports, exhaust, and header tubes, bends, as I don’t expect round, especially with regard to short / inside turn, is it.
As a measure and maybe as an example, how much difference would there be between a mandrel bend vs a regular bend, wrinkles and all, and whatever the optimal might be?
I’m suspecting that if anyone could provide a objective answer, either from experience or knowledge, it would be you.
