- Jeep Badge of Honor Trail: Peter’s Mill Run is a 7.9 mile, easy-moderate trail located in the George Washington National Forest in West Virginia.
It took us about 2 hours to complete this trail, almost all in 2wd. It’s a great beginner trail and perfect to help folks build confidence offroad.
I don’t really feel like it is a trail worth going out of your way for, but if you are in the area and have the two hours to kill, it is worth checking out and getting that extra badge.
We actually ran it on Sunday. Y’all gave a perfect description. Perfect for beginners
Hey thanks so much for saying that! It's enjoyable and relaxing which we need sometimes lol
We definitely going to take both jeeps to this thank for the shar
Thanks for watching!
You can pick up permits in Edinburgh at the Exxon station. Five bucks for a day pass.
It's also a reasonably extensive off-road vehicle area for quads and bikes but very rocky.
This is the closest mountain off-road area for me and my friends coming off Maryland's Eastern shore. Hatfield McCoy is farther out and Pennsylvania's AOAA is about an hour longer ride.
AOAA is good jeeping as well
It was definitely a beautiful trail!
Hi Tacoma owner here!!
Awesome video! It was so nice meeting you guys on the trail, you all were so nice and helpful. 😊
Awesome! Did you guys have fun on the rest of the trail?
@@DownSouth_Adventures we did !! It took us a while to finish but it was fun !
@@AlexSAdventures well I have to know are you still enjoying your Taco offroad?
@@DownSouth_Adventures Hi!! YES!! still loving my Taco!! I am out in Colorado now and its truly the perfect vehicle for my adventures !
@@AlexSAdventures That is AWESOME! So glad to hear it!
I ran this from north to south in my Subaru as my first off roading trip. It was beautiful
Only issue I ran into with my vehicle's low clearance was departure angles.
Yes it was a cool and easy trail! Thanks for sharing
I hear in summer through fall it gets crazy busy on that one lane trail on WEEKENDS.
Because it’s so easy I can imagine that it does!
Did the trail this past weekend in our gladiator, it was great fun.
Yep it’s a beautiful drive!
Oh yes I'll have try it . One in Georgia want try it's Historical for men Easy Co trained for WW2 Airborne . Send you link . Band of Brothers movie shot there.
only 2 hrs from me might actually try it thanks for uploading
Do it! It’s a great drive!
I did the trail in a stock Hyundai Santa Cruz. Completed it, but not without a cost.
Lol what kind of damage did you take?
@@DownSouth_Adventures Scuffed the front bumper, tore off one of the fender flares, and bent the running boards. I almost couldn't open the driver's side door. I also dinged the trailer hitch. I would say the running boards were a sacrificial lift. It's in my playlist. 4k in damages on a two month old vehicle. Bad judgement. That's what insurance is for.
Holy Crap! I love how the Santa Cruz looks!@@billybee4664
@@DownSouth_Adventures Now I just got to put a lift and bigger tires on it, or just wait to see if the 2025 version of the XRT has a lift.
@@billybee4664 They are going to be awesome if they get like a 2 inch lift!
