Hi, James. Another great video. I actually own the piano-black, "date variant" of the PD1692. One of the original 4 versions of this model. The bracelet and clasp aren't bad (especially for the price), but has a bit more play in it than the more recently released "Explorer," and "Air King" style variants, in which they have tightened up the tolerances. That said, I still consider it to be excellent value for money. Besides being the most comfortable watch in my collection, I purchased the watch on sale for around $105 USD, shipped to my front door, in 3 days flat. We're talking about a $105 watch, running at +4 sec/day on average, that could potentially last me for the next 20 to 30 years, and suites every occasion. I find the EZ-link extension, to be totally useful. What more could one really ask, from a budget watch???? I mean I remember the days when the SKX, for twice as much and half the specs, was considered to be of good value. People seem to forget that, movement aside, the build quality of this Pagani Design, far exceeds the build quality of Rolex, "Explorers" of the 90's, that this watch homages. One of the many benefits I guess, of using an already proven design, and of not having to pay for research and development. Great job. Cheers...
That is very true. I think we all forget sometime what watches were like in the recent past. 3 days to your door is amazing. For me I find shipping to Australia is between 2-3 weeks. Thanks for WATCHing
**Update** this has been my daily for the last week overall a very nice watch and worth the money....in my opinion only two issues, the lume (as always with PD) and the micro adjustment - can't use it on my clasp....otherwise it's a cracking piece, I am of course a sucker for the 369, tie that in with the finish on the dial and it almost hits the ding dong scale for me....glad I picked this one up.... Mine arrived yesterday and must admit first impressions are very good....will have a better feel for it in a few days, 369 is my bag for sure....cracking review as always my friend....I shall come back to add my "hands on thoughts" very soon....🏴⌚🏴⌚
Thanks James, for the great review. Just a thought, Pagani Design and another brand, Bliger are more or less the same company (I think). Bliger produces the Explorer homage which is identical with Pagani Design, for $30-$50 less. Green second hand, red second hand plus various dial colours with 36mm or 39mm variants also with either a Nh35, Pt 5000 or Miyota movements. I bought two at $130AUD each. I am very happy with both....Keep up the very good reviews.
Nice review. There was Ali-sale recently and I bought them for $40. In general, a cool watch for this price. Wear it when I'm around the house, but I put on more elegant pd-1751 if I go somewhere out.
Firstly thanks for the review. I've just got this watch & I understand that this video was made over 1 year ago but it would seem, unless my calipers are faulty, this measures in @ 38.5 mm & not 40mm.Same as the milgauss homage
I’ve had this watch now for a couple months and its getting lots of wrist time. It has a nice clear AR coating and is really comfortable. I picked it up in the summer sale for $92 and it compares ( aside from the lume) as roughly the same quality as my $208 San Martin SN020-G.
Lol, no bezel equals no problems for sure when it comes to pagani, my latest with a bezel is a dissapointment. Piano black is a very good description, beautiful watch, well proportioned, can’t go wrong really, and the finishing is getting better on their newer releases for sure
Like the videos you make, I purchased this during the 11.11 sale when the watch arrived I noticed the numeral at the 6 o'clock position had not been fully filled in, I contacted pagani design and sent pics they said there was nothing wrong with the watch. The milled clasp came apart ìn about 4 months. I tried to contact them this morning to order a replacement bracelet but received a notice they where not accepting any messages from me. It's sad because I really love the watch it keeps +3 seconds a day time but with customer service like this I couldn't recommend pagani design watches to anyone.
I’ve had that issue with them as well. This one does not have that issue. It feels like the quality has increased a little bit. Still not perfect but getting better.
I do have one and much better than many Seiko watches 7S26 and 7S36 watches.Sapphire Crystal do better and the hacking and manual wind function is all a ++++
@@WATCHingJames Having said that the blue is really really blue, not teal or Aqua but blue blue, it kind of makes up for it's lack of longevity, it's really beautiful, I've got the V3 with crown guards.
Thanks for WATCHing my full review of this Pagani Design

Great to hear you like it so far.
I’m sure it will be a great addition to your collection
Awesome review James, definitely see they pretty much made this well and for a better price if you don't want to drop $5-$10k
Absolutely. I think the quality is increasing. The bracelet on this one in particular is better than others I’ve experienced.
I really like the ice blue colour on this one…..so tempting!
Very tempting

Thanks Kenneth. I have been keeping an eye on a couple of the Bliger watches.
Maybe I might pick one up.

That’s a great price. Well done

I can’t remember now sorry. There is a chance the calibers were out. But I try to make sure I measure correctly
My bad …. I measured across the bezel & not across the watch🫢
Hi. Great Video. What the difference between the Black V2 With green and they show a Black with green no V2 after the Black.
I’m not sure. Sorry.
I have only had hands on with this one.
I have the new black V2 and I only noticed the crown guard on mine and lack of accompanying strap.
Seems like a great watch for modding also. Nice case and great specs.. can take any NH35 dial
I’ve often thought that PD is a good base for mods.
You don’t need to invest to much money but have some good specs to start with.

It is particularly good. I’m impressed with how well it sits on wrist.
A very nice every day watch and a very good price.

I think no bezel PD are the ones to go for and It really does feel like they are getting a bit better.

That’s very disappointing. I’m sorry to hear about your experiences.
Nice blue
👍
The logo is so much more wonderful than Rolex. I think Omega logo and Pagani logo are both Cool to see on a watch dial.
I really do like the new PD logo. I think it looks great.
Biggest issue with pagani is the sharp edges on their bracelets and cases.
I’ve had that issue with them as well. This one does not have that issue.
It feels like the quality has increased a little bit.
Still not perfect but getting better.

It is amazing what they can produce at the price. It makes me ask the question. Why are the big brands asking so much money.
The crown problem is solved with a very small drop of lubricant.
Thanks Louis.
Not my style but a great overview. 👴
Hahaha thanks paul
Everything is quality except for the lume, disappointing.
Pagani is always a bit disappointing with lume.
For the price I’m ok with that.

What’s your wrist size James ? Fit you nice. I like this watch. My wrist is only about 6.5” it’s Christmas time 2042 🎄 cheers
