Thanks James. You never know where you'll wind up in this hobby. The Asura and IWC vintage reissue are stunners for me. You already know how much I love the Hroudland, wear it quite a bit.
Refreshing to see a collection without a (yawn), Sub, Seamaster, Tag etc. Such a great variety of types too. Loving the Orient Star. What a find! Could you let me know the reference to that one pls? Took delivery of a Oceanus OCW T200S white/silver dial yesterday. What a watch! I know you’re not over inanimate about quartz, but what a great piece this is, and a fine way to close out 2024.
100% agree, what a varied and original collection. These SOTC videos are so much more interesting when the watches reflect the owner's personality rather than being a check list of all the must have icons. I hope you are enjoying your Oceanus Stuart 👍
Interesting collection. Been collecting for many years. Have gone from enthusiast to "collector" back to enthusiast. The Microbrands that I've bought over the last two years get So Much more wrist time and honestly enjoy them so much more.
Honestly, that first watch, the IWC is just perfect. I also love the Orient Star you showed. You have a strong inclination towards the field / pilot aesthetic. I do too, owning a polar, an alpinist, and with a murph on the way. I also own a speedy automatic that has strong field vibes with Arabic numerals
I recently started getting into watches, and if you asked me six months ago, I would shrug my shoulders. Today I'm thinking and looking at watches pretty much every waking hour :-) I still have yet to get my first mechanical watch but I think I'm going to go for a Christopher Ward Trident. Not exactly sure which variant yet but definitely the white dial. Your Christopher Ward is BEAUTIFUL. Curious, what model is yours? What size is it and what size is your wrist? The fit on you is ideal for me. Also 6 months ago I would think people like you were crazy. Now I'm jealous!
Wow nice collection James, you will have some challenging decisions to make in the future which ones go or stay. I too need to cull but seems difficult/hard to know how to sell them.
I was the same as you, man. But this year I really got strict, and ended up selling around 30 watches, and honestly, it was like a relief. Now every watch left in my box is something I love, and something I really want to wear. And there's 30 watches I sold that will never need maintaining/servicing/battery etc. And every three or four I sold, I replaced with one I really wanted. We all have different ways of doing things, but it's well worth considering, and it makes you a better buyer as well, because it forces you to think more about whether what you're considering is a passing fancy or a keeper. 👍

I continue to be impressed by the turbine pilot. Even after all the years I’ve owned it.
A really great collection, congratulations on curating such a varied and interesting range of watches. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Lovely collection James, love that Aussie Pogue, and being your dad's it's extra special 👍👍

It is amazing to see how this channel moved from affordable watches reviews to quite expensive ones.
That's one heck of a collection you got there James! What a cool ADEC watch! They are rare these days!
Absolutely love the strap that you made for the Adec
Great collection James

Great collection, I really enjoyed it
Got a Helm Komodo and Vanuatu this year. Grails for me, so well executed. The Miyako is my flieger and love it.
The Christopher ward caught my eye. Stylish and functional/ legible.
The hamilton also very nice.
Enjoyed the vid.

Very, very nice colection...I have old Adec watch, I know nothing about the brand.

The most special is that jet turbine I think

What is the model # of the champagne dial Hamilton? It is beautiful
Great collection.....what will be added in 2025 🤩
What happened to your Damasko?
A few have ended up leaving the collecting. Including the Damasko.
It was sad to see it go. But a bit of change ahead.
Beautiful collection!
Awesome James 👏
Thanks Mark
No watches leave my collection, even the ones I don't like, the collection just gets bigger and bigger. 😄
You know it brother!!😆
I’m the same. I’m thinking about selling some of my less used ones, but I can’t seem to get past that point.
I think I would quickly feel overwhelmed and rather broke if I did that. Hahahahaha.
Thanks for WATCHing
