Hats off to you my son!I am of ur mother's age, during my childhood my mother had engaged one revered Iyengar lady(we being non Brahmins)who used to come every week and used to prepare all those popular Iyengar dishes of whether it's puliyogare,bisibelebath,sarjappa,kobri biscuit ,kodbale,thengoral, chatni pudi and what not???!! Despite me being some 12 to 15 years of age,I always used to absorb and imitate all her recipes, without coming to her knowledge, now I can successfully cook all those recipes for my personal family (never ever for any commercial use),now for my greatest losses she is no more in this world,still I do remember and respect her a lot !

The taste of freshly ground spices is beyond doubt the secret to the best taste. For sambhar powder, i roast all the ingredients and store in a bottle. While grinding paste, i add fresh coconut and curry leaves and 1tbsp of the roasted ingredients just before making sambhar. My family declares that nobody makes sambhar like you!

Yellaru nivu thumba chennagi adige madthira anthare but ivathhu colour ,consistency ,taste yella super. It came out very very tasty. Nanu madiddu nanage ishta aythu . Hats off to you my son!I am of ur mother's age, during my childhood my mother had engaged one revered Iyengar lady(we being non Brahmins)who used to come every week and used to prepare all those popular Iyengar dishes of whether it's puliyogare,bisibelebath,sarjappa,kobri biscuit ,kodbale,thengoral, chatni pudi and what not???!! Despite me being some 12 to 15 years of age,I always used to absorb and imitate all her recipes, without coming to her knowledge, now I can successfully cook all those recipes for my personal family (never ever for any commercial use),now for my greatest losses she is no more in this world,still I do remember and respect her a lot !
Her name was Sharadamma from Shimoga's belt and We always used to nickname her as 'Thindi Gadi'during 1975! Wherever she is,I do always pray for her soul to be in rest and peace
