The sponsor actually chooses what shells and how the finale is built so we are restricted to what the city pays for. Trust me, a city display with 500 3 inch salutes would look spectacular. But that would rarely happen as city displays want to have a long lasting show and not an insane quick one.
@@DWojo I figured it would be something else, as usually a crossette only hits once. Where as this effect hits multiple times and can even hit more than once each time and can even break into other effects. I seen this one 8" shell that broke into peonies with a huge crossette in the middle, then all the peonys broke into those spider veins, then all the spider veins broke into time rain crackle. So, I figure it would be called something more specific.
As the others stated, you are describing crossette effect stars that have multiple layers on each star that make up those multiple break shells and the delayed effects that may even be different effect. I have not know them by any other name but would love to know if there is another name for this type of display shell.
I bet, shooting on city displays is just a dream of mine as a kid and happy to say any Pyro would love them as long as they are not afraid to work there ass off.
Do u do the display urself or thru a company like pyrotechnico or Sutin like that. Great show btw. Would love to ever have an opportunity to do that. Props man!👍
I work for a display company when I shot the big city displays. I came upon them at a 76 fireworks consumer demo and then took there training course and was able to join the team. I recommend finding out who shot displays in your area and ask if they need an extra hand next year. If you find the right company, they take very good care of you and you get to see some awesome shows up close. I would highly recommend it but be ready for 16+ hour work days for just one display. I did 3 of them within a week and also had my day 2 setup of my show in between the city displays. I call it hell week as you will not see many make it through the week and you will be tired enough to sleep an entire day afterwards.
Wow! Slot of work

Thanks Chris, glad you enjoyed our hard work on the 4th of July!
Happy 4th man! Really good stuff right there! 👊😃
It was good , would of liked to see more salutes in that finale
That's up to the budget of whoever bought the show.

Well I'm not that big of a TH-camr yet but I did shoot your 4th of July display last year off the Weatherby lake dam if you happen to see it.
Fantastic show!
What's that effect called when the shell breaks into waves and then the waves split into multiples. One of my favorite 1.3g effects. 13:55

It is a shell with several other shells in it so the overall effect is a Crossette but just multiple Crossettes
