I am quite amazed at all of the variables you need to deal with. Your videos are great to help people understand what they need to expect and the skills they need to feel they can learn and apply. Showing what the issues are the best way to motivate people to become educated in these regards. Nic job.
You need to install a pressure tank to prevent on/off cycle. If your well doesn't produce that much water, installing a CSV valve can help you out as to limit the amounts of water coming out to as low as 1 gallon per minute.vthat way you'll never run your well dry and your pump will live a long life.👍 Great video.
I just set up one of these pumps on a water tank and was getting the same pump circulating cut off. We installed a check valve at the pump and it works as intended. Looked up your video to see if we did something wrong and we’re having the same results. Good luck.
Pressure tank for longer pressure time....you need the toggle switch that turns the pump off when it senses enough pressure in the line......your pump is maxing out what it can push when the line is closed
Was wondering why you would connect the pipe to pump before putting the pipe into the well? Also, when removing the pump, why not disconnect the pipe first? Thank you
Dude keep it up! And let me say you've got a hell of a sense of humor, your good 👍 thanks and thanks for the laughs I! For real no disrespect . Close your eyes and just kustei
Whew 😥 man I put a lot of work into watching this. LOL. Seriously you guys are doing great. I love watching all that your doing. BTW when you were fixing the ramen it reminded me of when you were growing up. Ramen used to be all you would eat. Bet Jenn and Jackson didn’t know your top chef when it comes ramen. Love ❤️ ya
I think Jackson has the Top Ramen Chef title now. He is quite proficient at making it, and LOVES to spice it up with Chacheres' seasoning. Mmmm. Love you, too!
Here's a thought, if you label your video part 2 installation of a harbor freight well pump you should start with that project. As for using pallets to elevate your firewood if there not pressure treated wood you'll be redoing that job next season. Just an observation.
Making memories with your kids is my favorite part of this video❤️ Great teamwork!! Very informative! Jen helping with the pump was great! Love the campfire ramen! Crap on the water heater. Love that you are willing to share your mistakes. We pump RV antifreeze through ours when we leave…. So far it works great 🤞🏻 lol let ya know soon how that worked out for us😂
Trying to keep it real with the mistakes. I really screwed that and the well pump up this winter. Oh "well"! Ha ha. Do you get to go back soon? Maybe already? Saw you hit 700 this week. Congrats!
@@mehardies3999 Way to have a positive attitude!! Sounds like the end of this next week we are heading North!! Yay!! And yes!! We hit 700 so exciting. I celebrate each new subscriber! You have had a lot of growth too- Keep it up and keep the very informative videos coming!!
3 things. 1- Awesome videos, love that you're making memories. 2- How old are those pliers? 3- Do you remember when we were cleaning out the ditches along my parents driveway in Tennessee? The monkey and the football, my friend.
That's too funny. When I was filming another video, I dang near used that phrase because I often look like I'm doing that. Probably why your dad said it. I accidentally left those pliers outside for 1 week and they ended up looking like that!
@6:58 Unroll your thread tape the other way. Wrap the threads the same way, just unroll it opposite of what you did. For one, it dont unroll as much and you can get a tighter wrap, and its eaiser to control how much is coming off the spool.
Have you considered a rain water collection system to help fill your 55gal water drums? Seems like a easy solution and less dependent on well and generator. I'm thinking about installing one at my camp for same reasons.
I ran PEX from my shallow well pump into the side of the cabin, i added a shutoff with that small drain cap that unscrews, i used heat tape that worked well , then i left the place for a Winter SnowBird break down south....hope all is well upon return. I want to remove the old 2.5" galvanized piping and replace but am concerned the hole will fill in some during such an attempt. The cost of a new well is communist - ly ridiculous.
Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for that. I think it might be due to missing hose clamps that are introducing some air into the pipe. It might also be a clogged foot valve. I need to spend a little more time trying to figure it out. Sorry.
@@mehardies3999 ok. I purchased one for our cabin system to supply kitchen sink, toilet, shower and hot water heater. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen. I'm wondering if a check valve on both sides of the pump??
@@featherspreaderinc3146 I think a check valve before the pump is redundant because the foot valve is supposed to do the same thing. Let me know how your goes. Thanks!
It does that when there is no tank with some air in the system. It’s called waterlogged when the pump cuts off and on rapidly because the tank has filled completely with water and no air is there to cushion the surge of water into it. You need a small tank with a bladder.
I'm guessing your costly error really wasn't that expensive because you could have just used butt connectors and repaired that since it is copper. A little bit of soldering
No matter what goes wrong, these are the good old days. Thank you for sharing the good and the challenging....
the good ole days were the 60's and 70's
@@BillyJoeBob-tv6coYou missed his point completely.
You need some juicy steaks on that grill! Nice job on the well. I’m wanting to do something similar to irrigate my yard. This video was very helpful!

Pressure tank needed, and the check valve needs to be on the suction side of well pump.
Both those are why they pump was cycling all the time.

I have but just haven't taken action. It would probably work well coming off of that roof since it it metal and has a pretty good slope.

You don’t need a torque arrestor on a jet pump… 🧐
Thanks. I don't think I have a torque arrestor on there. It should be a check valve that keeps water from flowing back downhill.
Why was the pump cycling as it approaches 50psi. You never stated what caused that and if you remedied it
Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for that. I think it might be due to missing hose clamps that are introducing some air into the pipe. It might also be a clogged foot valve. I need to spend a little more time trying to figure it out. Sorry.

Ty sir
Needs a check valve on the inlet

The shirt cycling is due to there not being a pressure tank installed
Thanks! I'll see if I can get one to install.
