We were teens when we first discovered Richard Pryor and we understood his comedy. He was real. He was open and honest. He made fun of things that scared off other comedians, if they ever really saw the humor in it at all.
He paved the way for many black and white comedians to be themselves and practice their freedom of speech amongst the tension of racial equality in our world 🌎 I love how Eddie Murphy put all the late greats in Harlem nights. Eddie Murphy and many others admired this man. And they gave him his flowers 💐 while he was alive in 1991 and didn’t pass away until November of 2005.
1/20/24: Richard Pryor will always be my favorite comedian of all time. His comedy was tragic and brilliant, never will there be another.

It's sad NBC wouldn't provide better writers for Pryor ... He was a genius. !!!!
Wow glad I found these were good times on TV ❤😂

All star cast hilarious 😂
Marsha Warfield was in the first skit, she doesn't get any recognition at all, she was powerful back then, a lot of her jokes wasn't for TV
