Looks epic. You did a fantastic job. I just got one of these so I'm looking around at videos of it. I'm just dreading doing the Martini stickers as everyone says that they are a nightmare!
Another great video, Markus!! Love the wipers and the dirt detailing. Those shocks look awesome - my XV is still standard at the moment, but one day I will look at new shocks and maybe a mild brushless setup. But I did fit the exact same cockpit as you - nice job mate! :))
Thanks again mate! I am now testing a 3000kv brushless set with a 60A ESC. It is hell on wheels on 3s - bit too much so I guess better suited for 2S use.
Super Video!
Danke! :)
Did you wish to upgrade your car light, to make it more realistic? I can help you with electonic. I make some project few month ago. It based on 3$ wifi computing module and compatible wiht standart rc remote. You can switch on parking lights/head lights/high lights/ fog lights. Module also automaticaly can conttol turn lights, back lights, stop lights. And it have output for wipers servo.
Yes, don't paint that deep dark eye bags like me! 🤣 Paint the flesh with flesh colour and shade it with a flesh or brown ink like "fanatic army painter strong tone". Paint the eys white and paint dark dots for the pupil. That should do the job fine!
Thank you! The best way would be to see if you have any local RC dealer. If not I suggest google for the upgrades and order at any online shop that has them listed.
Thank you! Yeah you can run a brushless system in it. I am actually now trying one and it runs great. I am running a 3000kv motor on 3s with a 60 AMP esc. Don't run to hard on the throttle or it will get hot quick. 2s maybe enough. You will not regret buying one. They are great rally cars!
@@RoosterRC hey thanks for the info. They do look great and as a young kid in the 80's these are the iconic rally car to have. Cheers and have a great weekend
Difficult to say in a short answer. I would say the XV-01 shines because: Overall kit quality, front motor location for great powerslide weight distribution, frictionless belt drive. Would take the XV-01 over the TT-02 for rally applications every day of the week!
Oh m8 where did you get the left hand wiper bud need some for my rally car think you would like it it's the Michelin pilot rs cosworth many thanks and your rally car are really nice
The two things I noticed most about the reproduction. Is the front bumper? On the original it has a splitter. On the reproduction it comes straight down. The back bumper on the original curves inwards on the reproduction it comes straight down.
I don’t blame you for spraying the car to simulate dirt. The decals on this kit I frankly found disappointing and frustrating. I’m not sure how well you were able to conform the fender decals but I took my time, had a heat gun involved and still could not get the fender decals to my satisfaction.

Thank you! It was not such a nightmare. If you have a few years of lexan sticker experience (as you do) you should do a great job.
My favorite line was "shock oil is included! And it already leaking..."
😁 nice

How do you apply the light brown to simulate dust? It's very cool 😉
brown spray from about 50cm away!
Sweet..I'm going to send BS RC your way..He is looking into this kit!
Thank you - hope he will get something out of my video ;)
Beautiful, master!
Thanks!

I sometimes do illuminate my RC cars but I prefer a simple front/headlights always on solution. But thank you for your offer!
I was really surprised a bout the turning circle between the two cars do you have any tips for painting the faces on the co driver and drive

Thank you very much for the nice comment! :) What did you paint up?
Thanks for the vid! Good info and looks awesome. Does it handle better, same or worse, with the YR shocks now?
Thank you - you are welcome! The shocks are longer and smoother so I would say yes it handles little bit better especially in rougher terrain.
what's the biggest difference in relation to the TT02?

The windshield wipers are from aliepress. Ford Escort? That's also a really nice Rally car! Is the body still available anywhere?
Yes, you can get them. But they are slightly different to the original. And doesn't usually come with rear spoiler.

Yes thats a common problem. After 30 mins of driving you don't see those little mistakes anymore :) At least if you drive like me!
What part number on the shocks?
