今回は2024年4月3日にリリースされたばかりのローレン・オルレッドの『No Promises To Keep』をカバーさせていただきました。
この曲は世界的に大人気のゲーム「ファイナルファンタジーⅦ リバース」のテーマソングです。
ゲームの中では象徴的なキャラクターである“エアリス”が歌唱しています。
作曲はゲーム音楽の巨匠、植松信夫氏、作詞はこのゲームのストーリーとシナリオに携わった野島一成氏が担当しているので、この歌唱シーンはとても感動します！！
この曲をエアリスが歌うシーンまでのストーリーはネタバレになってしまうので控えますが、その過程を知ってから聴くとせつなくて涙が出ます。
「ファイナルファンタジー」シリーズ、アニメーションがめちゃめちゃ綺麗だしストーリーも本当に素晴らしいので、もしまだの方はぜひプレイしてみてください！！
そして実際に歌唱しているローレン・オルレッドは大ヒット映画「グレイテスト・ショーマン」の劇中歌『Never enough』が話題になったアメリカのシンガーソングライターです。彼女は2022年のブリテンズ・ゴット・タレントという世界的に有名な番組に出演し、その圧巻の歌声で審査員と観客の魅了した方でした。

This song is the theme song for the globally popular game "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth".
The song is sung by the iconic character "Aerith" in the game.
The song was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, a master of game music, and the lyrics were written by Kazunari Nojima, who was involved in the game's story and scenario, making the singing scene very moving!
I won't spoil the story leading up to the scene where Aerith sings this song because it would be a spoiler, but after knowing the process of the song, listening to it will bring tears to your eyes.

And Loren Allred, who actually sings, is an American singer-songwriter whose song "Never enough" was featured in the hit movie "The Greatest Showman.
