The JVLR which connects vikhroli to Lokhandwala which includes the road over bridge over the Western Express Highway and a flyover from infinity mall to SV road has been in the making for 25 years!Theres a plan,on paper,to connect this road ahead over the creek to Navi
    Mumbai!
The planning for this road was conceived when I was in my 10 th standard - now I am few years away from retiring. So don’t expect anything to happen anytime soon

Its baffling why no one brings up properly the issues like BMC elections being delayed for ages and the agency has now gone rogue, being run by babus who are accountable to no one.
Currently almost the enitre city roads are dug up at the same time. Perfectly fine roads are dug up for some random pipeline which for some reason they couldnt fit in when it was being originally being built. Then the road will be sealed off with mud to be then dug up again to be built again and so forth.
Even severy busy streets have allll roads dug at random places with not even work going on at most. Concrete roads which are supposed to last for several years are being dug up every few months of completion.
Its very common to hear news like concrete roads being destroyed because it wasnt aligning with original parameters, as if they couldnt have thought of it while it was being built or while they gave their OK to the road to the contractor.
This city is shit to the core. Its only built for corrupt contractors and babus to keep extracting money by building and rebuilding same roads on any excuses. Damn the people who dare live on it.

The roads will still be shitty, worse than mud roads. And the sidewalks will still be nowhere to be found, no cross walks, no traffic rules enforcement and no safety for pedestrians.

Footpaths in Mumbai have been encroached by shop expansions, which slowly and gradually take over the footpath. Pedestrians have to walk on the road encountering on coming traffic.

You journalists are failing us by painting a false picture of the realities of life in Mumbai. The city is so horribly managed, while the city corporation takes in so much revenue.
