Hahahaha oh the memories of mine 10+ years ago. He was a mean lil bugger lol. They are fantastic and beautiful creatures. The one I had was wild caught and very large and aggressive. He did not like to be handled at all lol. Your cages look amazing as well as the lizards. You can definitely tell you love your animals and care for them. Keep up the great work and have a great day.
I never had a pet tokay gecko but I've grown up with tokay geckos. I've seen them all the time on the walls of my grandparents' house where I grew up and nowadays even have a couple occasionally go in and out of my house during night. I'd seldom be surprised when I spot one near the light switch in the dark while trying to turn on the lights since I might accidentally grab one and their bite can easily draw blood.
My girl will shake and clamp on. My boy lightly closes his mouth on my and then darts off, he’s a sweetie 😂 and when I would be consistent he would let me pet him

Do they try to escape tanks like is that a common thing? I don’t think mine has tried too but I’m very paranoid about waking up with my toe down a takoy geckos throat 😟😭😖

I'm getting a today geto that's 99 or 130 dollars so do you think in good and we are spending 150 on there tank and to fill the tank we will bath the today geto each week and I will wash my hand ever time I touch them and before I touch them I will spend 150 to fill the tank and will feed them every day and water I will clean out there cage each month I think I am ready to get a geto around April 4 yay
I can already tell you're young, trust me don't get a tokay if you are. You don't bathe a bloody tokay gecko... These geckos are extremely aggressive, and can deliver a nasty bite. They will not be tame, no matter how much you want it. So please just get some guinea pigs or something, and if you really must have a reptile get a lepoard gecko.

Pls do a video about lighting and heat. Led vs t5ho's vs heat lamps/basking areas. Ex. Using a led for plants but doesn't produce heat, so supplemental heating for basking area
I like recommending 36x18x36 or 24x24x48 as a minimum for such a large arboreal lizard. I do think the community has it wrong with accepting smaller, but then again I haven't owned tokays yet
Oscar Martinez - They are cheap at exotic pet expos. I’ve seen them for $10-$15 dollars. They are probably wild caught though. I’m getting a couple next month. A guy I talked to there is breeding them, so I’m getting them from him.

I recently purchased a juvenile tokay and found out later it was wild caught and I now I’m freaking out a bit.... should I bring it to a vet right away or give it time or what should I do?
I found this kind of gecko in my house but then when i was trying to catch it suddenly oppened its mouth wide as if it is going to bite me that gecko in your hand makes me think that my life is a joke.
these geckos are very aggressive and most people do not handle them much, if at all. you can get them to get used to you though with time and patience. they have very strong jaws and adults can tear through your skin. still my favorite gecko

How do you keep the glass so clean, my tokays glass is always dirty due to constant spraying and bc if it he don’t climb on the glass.

Depends on how close the basking site is but in general for both lamps and ceramic heat bulbs 100 wattage
