I've been watching multiple reviews for this watch. Just to let you know, I've decided to pull the trigger and ordered one after watching your review. Your review made me feel this is the one for me. Thanks man 👍🏼
This is my favorite dial on Seiko Diver.. I just got one, even it's still better in real than in the video. You've got to see it in real, on your own wrist.. it's amazing 👍
Love the Save The Ocean editions. This is one of the most beautiful ones. The turtle is always a love hate design, but it sits perfect on the wrist. Thanks for the review.
I have never liked how the Turtle, Capt. Willard or Bulova Devil Diver have looked on my wrist. It kills me because they are all such beautiful watches. I actually purchased a Seiko Mod watch with this dial in a Submariner type case. I know I would not wear this turtle or like it on my wrist and yet I see this review and I want to buy it anyway!
Kyle Salisbury that’s how I feel about the Seiko Samurai. I love the watch and the design and how it looks until I try one on and then I’m not feeling it and can’t see myself buying one .
It’s definitely a beautiful watch owing in part to the well designed dial face. Even though I much prefer a high contrast dial for maximum legibility, I can still admire this watch and the price is also reasonable. Thank you for an excellent video review! 🥃
this is my 1st automatic watch, love it and still wearing till today. even thought got few watches but still will wear it once a while. definitely a keeper
I bought this "special edition" model about a year ago, and I love it. When I bought my Turtle, I bought the Seiko "Navy" blue rubber strap...didn't like it. Saw your video and ordered the 7 Friends & Watches strap...and now...the watch is perfect! Thank you!
Excellent review, so good in fact you were instrumental in me deciding to purchase this example. Along with the blue strap from 7 friends. I could not be more content. This is a fun watch with a bold splash of color that can be worn daily with no worry about the occasional scratch or ding. Since this watch is a few years old one cannot simply walk into a seiko boutique and try it on. That's where your HD videos, common sense commentary, and sense of style are helpful. After 10-15 minutes on Ebay, I found a retailer willing to part with one for less than full price, and I couldn't be more satisfied. This is the two year old car you found at the back of the lot with the outrageous paint job that makes you smile whenever you drive it. When it gets the first inevitable door ding, you do not mind, because you know this car was bought for fun. Thank you for your high production value in your video's. I realize that it takes time and expense to offer the public quality content. Keep going, we appreciate your efforts and opinions. Kudos-
I have this watch for 6 months now.its a keeper.love the dial so much,it's a permanent in my collection. Of course it has a minor misalignment, it's a seiko ffs. I have most of modern seiko divers, love the willard, the samurai, the 62 Mas,but this one is my favorite.
I have owned this version of the manta ray turtle for almost 2 yrs & still love it. In fact i love this particular dial so much that i bought a samurai with the same dial. Love them both & will never part with them.
great detailed review, I love the macro clips, it highlights those intricate unsung details. I ordered one couple of days ago awaiting to my excitement. Eventually found out that code K1 isn't Japan made but who cares this is a masterpiece too bad Japan let this produced outside, it's their lost
The Turtles are my favorite watches. Love the iconic case shape that feels soooo confortable on the wrist. I have owned several models between SRP777, Ninjas, Padis and my current model is a King Turtle with the black wafel dial. What could be upgraded: the movement (mine looses almost 1 minut per week and the day changing is as slow as a real turtle).
I went with the classic Turtle, the SRPE93. I prefer the aluminum insert and mineral glass because I was after for classic 6309 look. Picked it up for $350, and for that money I don't think I'd be able to source components to build one myself.
Had one, loved it. Great value - sold it when I got my Willard - the date on that is small enough to ignore & blends into the dial looking like a normal 3 o'clock index. Just wish Seiko would release versions with & without that heinous complication - it wouldn't cost any more to produce (maybe even less) & I'm certain they'd sell more! It'd just be nice to have the choice. Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
I don't mind a date (in fact it's a useful feature), but day and date AND a cyclops is a big aesthetic no no for me. Other than that, it's a stunning watch, and I love those mana rays.
What exact blue is the band? The one the link takes me to looks much darker than the band depicted in your video. Thanks in advance, and I have a new Turtle Manta Ray on order!
Just wearing my STO Great white Shark, the SRPD21K1. It’s def. a strap monster, I wear it on the bracelet, a blue rubber a cognac vintage style leather…. And honestly I really prefer the aluminium insert with its texture over the ceramic. And the lack of the magnifier- thank God, it doesn‘t have one 😏. For this I can easily swallow it‘s only Hardlex
This but in a 42ish mm case would have been great. You dont really have much choice if you look for a medium sized diver. Ofc you have the SPB 317 but that's around 1000$. There is a need for a 500$ Seiko diver with maybe a turtle case but in 40-42mm, something like the SKX used to be. I know there is the mini turtle but that is discontinued and quite tricky to find.
The better option would be the older versions of this turtle... For 240usd you get the same watch minus the sapphire and ceramic bezel insert I love my SRPC13 anthracite turtle.
@@BraveBeaters it's my favorite dial color I also have the SNXS79 and SPB143... I've seen someone put coin edged bezel on their Turtles and jubilee bracelets to refine the toolish look.
Again, looking at the chapter ring it appears to be misaligned to the right of twelve. Why oh why don't they sort their QC issues out!? Things like this ruin an otherwise great video. Sorry my friend, but once I see an alignment issue it's all I can see regardless of how good/informative the review is.
I've got the Samurai Dark Manta on a white tropic strap and it's a killer, it works perfectly on my 18.5cm wrist. Suprisingly she is even more accurate rather than my COSC and META watches, with +0,2s/day. Incredible value for the price.
I've been watching multiple reviews for this watch. Just to let you know, I've decided to pull the trigger and ordered one after watching your review. Your review made me feel this is the one for me. Thanks man 👍🏼
haha, that's not good! :))) Joking, enjoy it man!
This is my favorite dial on Seiko Diver.. I just got one, even it's still better in real than in the video. You've got to see it in real, on your own wrist.. it's amazing 👍
I’ve had my SRPE39J1 Manta Ray turtle 🐢 now about a month. Absolutely love this watch . It’s amazing 🤩
I completely agree - King Turtles and especially Save the ocean editions definitely deserve more love. Thank you for the review!
Love the Save The Ocean editions. This is one of the most beautiful ones. The turtle is always a love hate design, but it sits perfect on the wrist. Thanks for the review.
I just got mine a month ago. I can't stop looking at the dial! The details looks so good!
I fell in love with the dial. When out in bright sunny day, dial looks like actually loking at waves in ocean. Beautiful!
I ordered this exact watch last monday and am waiting for it to arrive. This video is making me even more excited to recieve it!
I know the feeling :) congrats!
@@ph69jbl Thank you :)
Just got it today, it’s unreal in person.

Not probably, it's for sure! Handsome watch with a wonderful wrist presence. Well done!

I am glad you enjoy it! The color of the strap.really matches the dial tone.
@@BraveBeaters 100% agree and the quality is well worth the price. I will be buying from them again. Thanks again brother!

Had the Manta Rey for 1 year, very nice but too less wristtime. Nice to see this again. Get going 🚀
My favorite youtuber reviewing my favorite watch brand …. 🍿 time 😜
I have both of the King Turtle Manta's and enjoy them very much, nice review.
❤️

Great watch, comfortable and fun to wear. Changing straps can allow the watch to be sporty or dressed.

Just picked up the Seiko Samurai SRPF79K1 with similar manta ray dial for under 400€/$400 brand new. Beautiful dial and great bang for a buck Seiko.
Great review 👍 & Beautiful watch. Love the Turtles
Another great production brother. I love the dial on this one!

New subscriber here.. I own this exact piece and your videos managed to invade my recommended.. here I am! Awesome video! Happy to be here
Welcome aboard Peter! I am glad you enjoy the content AND I am glad you like this Turtle, great piece!

Have several older Turtles. Love the dial and upgrades on this one. Ordered one yesterday for $387. Great review.
I like both with this beautiful Dial. So I bought them both. 😊
Love my King Turtle PADI😍
Seiko for real knows how to design their dials.
I went with the classic Turtle, the SRPE93. I prefer the aluminum insert and mineral glass because I was after for classic 6309 look. Picked it up for $350, and for that money I don't think I'd be able to source components to build one myself.
mine arrives in 4 days! Can't wait!

Cheer Steve, the willard date is very well blended between the indexes.
I don't mind a date (in fact it's a useful feature), but day and date AND a cyclops is a big aesthetic no no for me. Other than that, it's a stunning watch, and I love those mana rays.
Gorgeous. Hard to decide between this and the new PADI turtle with gradient blue surface water texture.
Great review, as usual!
Thank you! :)
I do really enjoy that dial.
I just purchased this watch this morning new for $385, should be here in a few days
I can’t believe they don’t have swimming sea turtles on these turtle watches. I’d love that.
Big for my 6.5 hands❤😊
What exact blue is the band? The one the link takes me to looks much darker than the band depicted in your video. Thanks in advance, and I have a new Turtle Manta Ray on order!
Hi, quick question: the quick release springbars provided with ur 7F&W rubber strap ar thick enough for the turtle?? Are they clicky??
Just wearing my STO Great white Shark, the SRPD21K1. It’s def. a strap monster, I wear it on the bracelet, a blue rubber a cognac vintage style leather….

It is. Mine is running -2 seconds after 3 days.
Picking a pre owned one up today. Only wish the crystal wouldn’t lay below the bezel edge. Might mod it with a top hat crystal some day
Have the dark manta ray made in Japan , beautiful watch it runs 3 seconds slow daily everyday aligns 😅
The Best Seiko Prospex turtle save the ocean ❤
I bought the Seiko Samurai version 👍
That one is cool as well :)
Whats the difference between Srpe39k1 vs Srpe39j1
Awesome content you got here!
i have the Samurai version, bcs i like the look and “date only” more than the turtle :) killer watch!
Probably the most comfortable watch around

very chic cassanova. thank you for the 411
I've got the green grenade, love it, t nis is very cool.
May i ask you where you got the Navy blue rubber tropic strap?
amazing video
That's about $999 Australian. And it's an amazing watch.
Where did you buy the blue strap bro?
I love it, but still feel a bit intimidated by the size for my 6.5 inch wrist.
Is this better than samurai manta ray?
The better option would be the older versions of this turtle... For 240usd you get the same watch minus the sapphire and ceramic bezel insert I love my SRPC13 anthracite turtle.
the anthracite turtle is amazing! I always wanted to own one so I can mod it :D

Would this be ok for a 20mm wrist?
For sure! :)
@@BraveBeaters multumesc frumos!
Yes it’s a great dial 👍
Hello. I saw that I had won some watches. They wrote me a comment on TH-cam. Could you confirm this?
how accurate is it?
All seiko are accurate with time
Is bezel black or dark blue?
Black
i just bring one to day on
2024
the only thing I don't like about that watch is the cyclops.
How about the best value diver under $500 eh?
Bought this today, and put it straight onto a rubber strap, as the bracelet is garbage.
First! :)
without daydate?
