Trust me, it took every ounce of energy to convince my parents to get a new tank as well, even when I just had one. If you can find a way to pay for most of it yourself (maybe breeding for profit in your current tanks), you can save up and pay for yourself which they might be alright with. If you can also make it so you can prepare the tanks for over a week-long holiday and you don't need to get a person to take care of them (e.g. automatic fish feeders and timers on lights), then it should bring you a step closer to getting more tanks. It's a whole process haha but just keep trying different strategies. 😉
