"To play" in Spanish: "JUGAR" & "TOCAR"

Do you play soccer or do you play the piano? 1 verb in English & 2 verbs in Spanish "¿Juegas futbol y tocas el piano?" Do you see it? Can you believe it? Two different verbs for one verb in English. In this lesson, I will teach you the difference between "tocar" and "jugar". In Spanish, "tocar" is used when you are talking about playing an instrument or touching something like an object (e.g., "tocar la puerta", knock on the door). Jugar, on the other hand, is used to play a sport or to play a game: "Yo juego + sport", or "yo juego + name of a game". With this quick and easy Spanish lesson you will learn three very important Spanish verbs. Verbs are very important when you are learning a language. In Spanish the verbs are a little tricky and each verb has a different ending depending on what person is speaking and to what person one is speaking to.
