@sarahwatts8529 We sure will! Just didn't want to throw to much out there at one time. Cleaning and cooking Mushrooms is in the next video! Just finding mushrooms is a great start! Even if the mushroom is not edible, still a beautiful find. TY Sarah we are loving all the comments!
@@sarahwatts8529 Keep the buggy ones in the woods LOL We clean mushrooms at the place we find them. The real buggy ones can be finished off by the bugs, wildlife, etc. LOL Trust me..you don't want to bring buggy mushrooms in..all of a sudden they all come out..its always more than you think..and ya not a fun experience in your clean kitchen.

HI Camille! TY for asking! There's a whole network of mycelium underground and sometimes one mushroom is not happy another mushroom is there! We didn't want to throw to much info at new foragers all at one time. It's alot of info to absorb! The Woods are a beautiful place for sure! TY for watching our mushroom video. Hi! Another vote for us cooking shrimp of the woods! They really are amazing! Especially for someone who normally doesn't like the texture of mushrooms, these really have a texture like shrimp if cooked correctly. Do you forage for mushrooms? TY for watching, subscribing and commenting! -P & J
@pjshomesteadadventure when I get the "opportunity" per say..only for morels in the spring, and I also get the oak "stumpers" in September here in Michigan. Come February, I'm typically booked 2 to 3 months out with work, and I keep to busy honestly. I need to STOP and look for mushrooms if you catch my drift...a few more yrs til kids are out of college...then maybe I can make a similar video to yours..
@groundpounder24365 Heck ya! Morels are amazing! Always a great sign that spring has sprung! Morels were the very first wild mushroom we found, identified, and ate! TY for tagging along with us on our adventures.
Thats really interesting knowing some amazing mushrooms 🍄🟫. I thought it’s just a mushrooms but still a lot to know. Thank you 🙏🏻 for this information. Have a great day 👍.

I'm not even finished watching this yet and I'm already learning stuff. Daryl knows more mushrooms than I do, but it's something we want to start doing during our short season to do so. I just ordered a mushroom book on Friday that is specific to Alaska. Thank you for sharing this!
Hi you two! We love foraging for wild mushrooms! Glad to hear you purchased a book for your area! We appreciate you stopping by and commenting and watching! -P & J
Oh wow! I had no idea about the tree/shroom sybiotic relationships. (too bad I'm HORRIBLE at identifying alot of trees...haha) I would have called that first tree a Red Oak (you called it Black Oak). See? I'm terrible! I would love to see a video of you cooking some shrimp of the woods. I have always loved making the puffballs puff! I enjoyed this video SO much! Thank you.
Wow Dawn TY for checking out this video! So glad you enjoyed it. I believe those two oak trees are in the same family of oak trees so one of us is right! LOL good guess anyways!
