Thank you Dawne! When I first tried, I used the crochet thread, because of its thickness, but it would break pulling it so tight when I would do the really large sized pumpkins. I think at one point my husband saw it break and he mentioned fishing line....ding ding ding went the bell! It works fabulous!! Many blessings! 😀🍁
I love everything you do and how you explain everything. You get right to the point and I really appreciate and enjoy your videos. You are such a talented lady!
Thank you! They are soooo fun and quick to make! I made 28 of those for a Fall Craft show and sold them all! Besides the larger ones as well! Have a wonderful day! 😃
I'm planning to do just that! She's 4 and loves glue and sparlies (glitter). I love spending time with her. Sounds like you gave me a win-win situation!❤
Love it!!! I'm so happy you put that up so fast. I love the little decorations you used very creative. Where is the cheapest place to get fabric with the farmhouse look?
Marnee Miller I get a lot of my fabric at Walmart...mostly at Christmas, they will come out with the plaids...and some I have just found at garage sales or goodwill. TFW! 💛
What do you sell these for? I am just getting started with a booth and and having a very hard time pricing my items. This is so adorable and there is time involved and I just cannot seem to find a price to get paid for my time and materials!
Thank you sooo much Jennifer! Let’s see, these little mini pumpkins I sold 2 for $5. Other pumpkins I’ve made, like ceramic pumpkins that I decorate, I think I sell for about $8.50, larger fabric pumpkins range from $12.50 up to $34.50, depending on size. I just price depending on size and how much supplies were to make the projects. I’ll usually try and at least double my supply cost …which I know may not be enough…but I also take into account, what it might cost at HL with 40% off and try and do a little better than that. I rather have my pieces be a little more affordable and people buy them vs sitting there and taking it back home. Our area is a little lower priced too. there’s a lot of debate in charging for time, but if I did that, I,wouldn’t even buy my items 😜…the price just seems that it would be too much, but you’ll have to decide what you feel comfortable with doing. Let me know if you have any more questions! I’ll be happy to help! Many blessings! 😃 P.S. I did come out with a video about 3 years ago talking about do’s and don’ts for bazaars (from my perspective/opinions and years in selling at shows)…here’s the link if you haven’t seen it…you might find some helpful tips: th-cam.com/video/LT2Z_Q2oIis/w-d-xo.html
I've been working on pumpkins for a couple days - searching videos to see what I'm doing wrong. My pumpkin is from a 15" round circle. The problem is once I gathered it as closed as I could, i can't find a stick or something for the stem. Any suggestions? I'm so lost and I have committed to a craft fair. 🤦
Elaine Morris OK....I’m going to make an assumption, that once you gather it closed the hole is a little larger than you like so finding a big enough stick is a little difficult. ...let’s take this option first...find a decent size stick, go,ahead and glue it in...if there is still space around the stick where your pumpkin is not closed enough, use twine, start with a few wraps at the bottom of the stick and continue to wrap downward onto the pumpkin and wrap the twine in a circle. As you wrap the twine in a circle, keep to the outside edge of that circle (remember to add a little glue as you go along) so that you have like a spiral circle and keep that going until you have covered that opening. It looks really cute. And then you can add like a twine bow, so that it all coordinates. Other options for stems, wine corks...they are nice and fat and can fill larger openings. You can use burlap trim and roll it into a stem shape and glue that in. I’ve done that...looks cute. If you use a really flexible cardboard...like the inside of a paper towel roll, that you can cut and roll into a smaller “stem” then cover that with fabric or burlap. Hobby Lobby has packages of driftwood stems in their little beach craft section. That could work. You could even use a smaller sized stick and wrap that in fabric or burlap so that it gets bigger around. I have even seen Dollar Tree with bags of cut wood pieces in their craft section. They have packages of both short and long wood slices. Hope any of these help. Let me know if you have anymore questions. 💛
Sislertx Are you looking at the bed pillows? I know the decorative square ones are around $5, but the standard sized ones you sleep with are usually around $3 for the smaller size. The King size run about $4-5. I’ve even bought the Walmart brand body pillows. Those are about $8...that’s a lot of stuffing! 😉 TFW! 💛

P.S. you could also use a round cabinet knob or like a wood finial top. Hopefully some of these ideas help! 😀
