“hey guys we’re actually on a budget so lets leave all this dead empty space and just add recordings of the songs from the movie even though the storyline of this ride is almost something completely different”
This is so true 😔 they could have made more songs other than just "special spice" because I feel like after a while it'll start getting old to listen to. They play these songs in the park too, not just the ride from what I've seen in other videos.
This feels like a ride for small children. Splash was for everybody. I feel like a lot of children won't be prepared for the big drop because of the consistent happy tone.
I love the look of this ride! I saw all the animatronic progress posts on social media and saw the hard work put into this! I’m looking forward to riding this masterpiece someday and do not care bout how many jealous Splash Mountain idiots criticize it!
Okay. There are also no singing animals in all of New Orleans? And the original Splash Mountain didn't make much geographical sense either. I can't think of many places in the south where there are Riverboats like the end with "Zip-a-dee-Doo-Dah" AND rocks/mountains. Georgia has both but not in the same place
@@cup_and_cone In most. There’s a whole lot more than mud; there’s silt, trees, petrified wood, fossils, and likely more way under the layers. For rocks, look up Wolf Rock Cave and Kisatchie Bayou in Louisiana. I believe rocks are used in some levees too, or were in the time period this is based in. Which is another note; things looked different 100 years ago back when some of my family was there than they do now. I’ve never been to Louisiana, but like someone said it’s meant to be a fantasy adventure not a 100% accurate representation of an exact place.. since it’s based on a fantasy story. I don’t think any of the rides are 100% exact to the locations they might be set in IF they were in the real world. Even Splash Mountain. I’ve never been to any of the parks, but I’d imagine the scenery wasn’t 100% exact to a certain location in Georgia. They always take creative liberties for theme park rides. Structurally they had to update Splash Mountain regardless of a rebuild; my understanding is they didn’t rebuild everything as there are parts that are structurally sound. Plus it keeps the nods to the original ride. I believe you go through the “salt mine” before you get to the ride. They likely couldn’t have added more trees to the walls because that would have narrowed the walkways even more. They also need solid ground for both water containment and maintenance, as well as emergency exists everywhere. None of that will be possible, let alone running the ride, if they fill it with silt, mud, and every other thing found in a real bayou. I don’t think folks would appreciate getting a leech when the water splashes onto the ride.
All those months of sensation and hysterical instigation around the building of this ride.... for this..... And, no, i don't hype over splash mountain, didn't love that one
(Disney Ceo) I have an idea. Lets ruin everyone's childhood who went to Disney and make everyone rage about it. And finally , we will have the animatronics have awkward hand movements and random spots of the ride where it's just empty space and sometimes no music(Disney employees) Oh my god give this man his paycheck!
Why is Tiana looking for a band in the swamp? Her restaurant already had a band and they're in freakin' New Orleans! There were people playing music everywhere in the movie. There is so much empty dead space and the story is just so boring. It's Dora the Explorer Disney style. The movie was practically a blueprint for how to do the retheme and they still messed it up.
I feel like the script for this ride that they made was a lot more complex than the one for Splash Mountain. Telling a story through a ride is tough, but I feel like if they didn't try and put so many ideas in for the same ride, I think people would have liked it a lot more. Because it's more complex it makes things a little confusing while Splash Mountain had a simple story but was able to tell it in the duration of the ride and keep it easy to understand.
For those who are upset... you and your nostalgia will get older, and Disney eventually won't be for you. This will be what the next generation will experience and they will see it like you saw Splash Mountain for the first time, and it will mean as much to them as Splash Mountain meant to you. You just have to grieve that life isn't forever, and won't always cater to your nostalgia.
It's called an opinion,WesternSky. And don't speak for everyone-you don't know if everyone will praise this ride like you do. Don't get so upset just because someone doesn't like the same thing you do-just chill out and tell yourself :Not everyone is going to like this ride, and everyone has a right to their own opinion as long as they aren't being toxic about it. Let people be upset and dislike the ride-it's not killing you. You're still alive, right?
Based on the parts of the movie that weren't considered controversial when the ride opened, you mean? The same ride that the NAACP said was ok to open? That one?
99% of the few people on planet Earth who say "Song of the South" was racist.....have never even seen the movie. They only say it because they believe they are "supposed" to say that.
@@CLIFFLIX I watched it, I have the VHS from my childhood, there're literally ex-slaves in the movie working at a plantation (It took place after the civil war). But ok.

Is it just me or does the Louis animatronic at 5:13 not working because his mouth is not moving and his eyes aren’t blinking?
You are right, even the brand new animatronics aren’t even working! 😦
Yes he's already not working properly. There will be lots of animatronic malfunctions
That looks like so much fun and very colorful!

The video is well-made and really looks great! The attraction itself?..... looks depressing.....
