Love the video. Thank you. I've just done a 3 day wild camp in Wales. Loved it but got soaked. Do ponchos work well for you? Don't they let water in easily? I have a snugpack poncho but it soaked out quickly a year ago. But my use of rain jacket and trousers also soaked out.
Do you have a kit list perhaps?

Hi Imran, no kit list yet! We will work on a kit list and a gear video this year as we share a lot of kit (double sleeping bag/double air mat etc). The ponchos we use are the Army Basha ones that you can also use as tarps, then you connect the poppers down the side to wear as a poncho. So in total we have basha, rain gear and bag covers. I’m using an atom pack with a dcf pack liner and my stuff was 100% fine, ambers osprey bag did start absorbing water! Need to consider a waterproof liner for her! However, I am a big fan of the bashas just for how versatile they are. We can set up tent in a rainy place and then have two tarps to sit on and put up to have an outdoor area to cook and eat too! 👍🏻
Thank you for your very helpful reply. I have an old '57 army poncho (as you desrcribed) from my army cadets days and I 100% agree with you regarding their versatility. You might have inspired me to reuse it. But as I'm in my late 50s, I'm trying to go much lighter as pack weight seriously hinders the joys of walking. But ultralight gear is costly so gradually getting there. But being wet through is also unpleasant although is manageable eg a sacred set of dry sleep clothes in a dry bag. It's being cold and wet that causes discomfort....and danger. The ease and ventilation of the poncho is compelling though.
I also have an osprey exos rucksack and yet even with my pack cover it still became very damp so I use an orange survival bag as a pack liner to protect my gear. I do like the atom packs dcf rucksacks. That's on my wish list. Yes - Thank you - your kit list, when you get round to it, would be helpful.
