    The idea of a guy committing suicide to frame his girlfriend seemed super unrealistic to me until I remembered that I know multiple women whose exes threatened suicide when she attempted to dump them. One of them actually followed through.

      People can be so, SO manipulative. It literally makes me so sick. When people do that - they KNOW what they’re doing. Often times, it’s those same types of people who won’t just kill themselves, but their partner. The whole “if I can’t have you, nobody can” bs.

    Under any other circumstance I'd be super incredulous about the "he killed himself to set her up" theory. The simplest solution is generally the most effective and all that. But when we're talking about the type of dude who would blackmail a woman into staying in a relationship with him, and especially one who would do that and *then* still describe himself as being smitten with her, as though he's really using this to fill an emotional intimacy void instead of just a power thing ... Yeah, I totally buy that that maladjusted drama queen pulled (edit: could have* pulled) a martyrdom revenge scheme lol.

More biologicaly active are usually compounds(the best are ich organic compounds) of arsen, lead or mercury. • @cleoldbagtraallsorts3380
      @cleoldbagtraallsorts3380 3 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      This is because ladies were expected to remain untouched until marriage and the chances of marrying otherwise ( unless you were a wealthy widow ) were greatly reduced. Women could not own property, either, all that ( even the clothes they stood up in ) belonged to their father and was transferred to their husband apon marriage, so a woman needed a man for financial reasons. If her father died before her marriage his money would go to his son or nearest male relative, who could choose to leave her with nothing and turn her out of the family home, and her mother might also be treated this way. Therefore removing any sort of potential scandal was very important. Simon is right to make the revenge porn analogy, but now imagine someone has not only leaked explicit photos of you but that doing so would also cost you your job, home, any potential partner, and you get the picture.

      And foul milk can be treated with Bromide to make it smell good, never mind that it doesn't kill the bacteria! Childhood mortality in Victorian Britain is now reckoned to have been at such catastrophic rates because of disguised rotten milk.
      Dontcha love Victorian science! The thing is that these were readily accepted and commonly used approaches. It makes you wonder how many absolutes of science we now claim for ourselves which future generations will look back on and shake their heads in despair.

    • @shadowdroid776
      @shadowdroid776 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@billtr96sn the reason is due to some pretty bad health risks with overuse in aspirin, which is why children no longer take it. It's also a blood-thinner so it can worsen some issues without you knowing. And penicillin isn't the reason for super bugs, it's two main things that caused it: hyper-sanitization and people not following medication directions.
      We used to be super gross, right? Well now the pendulum swung to the direct opposite, where people for years have been using hand sanitizer hundreds of times a day, including children. Everything must be sanitized and wiped down, no one can have dirt on their hands, and a lot of people are getting temporary dermatitis because of the destruction of their natural bacterial flora on their hands. This is creating a bacteria that will be resistant to these cleaners from how often it's being used.
      Patients are stupid and always think they know better than their doctors. So, when given an antibiotic and told to "take it until the bottle is empty", the patient will ignore them and simply stop taking the antibiotics when they feel better. If not that, they'll keep themselves on antibiotics constantly thinking it keeps them healthy, not knowing they're destroying the bacteria inside their intestines and it causes diarrhea, meaning they can't digest properly. This causes bugs to develop immunity to these medications.
      What you might've been thinking of in terms of penicillin is the gram-negative bacteria we have to deal with. Those are extremely hard to treat as most bacteria is gram-positive, which penicillin treats. Only a few things treat gram-negative bacteria, and not all of them react to it. There's not a lot of those forms of bacteria out there, but they're getting harder to treat.

Then poisoned himself a bit more when he had everything set. He accidentally poisoned himself too much. He planned to have the Dr called and the letters and diary be "Discovered" . That would in turn cause her to be the suspect in his attempted murder and cause her to loose her status.
