Always value the look of Parker Duofold or Centennial......I remember 30 yrs ago I have to save n save to buy one n kept it till today...but showing us these the marvelous marble like yet affordable ...most I will try to go back to fountain pen....tq again
The design follows the newer Parker Duofolds released in the 90s, the wide cap band was in 2000. Would not call that vintage, I have 2 and also enjoy the pens. Consider Kaigelu 316 & Hongdian 960 to be comparable. Quality of these pens is excellent. Welcome back.
I agree. I think I misspoke, but for me the resin itself reminds me of a vintage pen. I would love to own one of the 90s duofolds though. I have been thinking about getting one of the kaigelu 316 and enjoyed your review on it.
Glad to see you! I have a sky blue one and love it and I think Jinhao pens are really good because I like their medium nibs. Thanks for the review-looking forward to more.
Hi Aaron, good to see you again. I ordered one a few days ago in the pure yellow. I am so pleased you think so highly of this pen. If I like mine I may even buy another. I am impressed with the finish on the pen you chose and I would seriously consider getting one in that cracked ice vintage look. Thanks for the review.
I have 3 of these and for NZ$21, it is amazing value for what one gets. All the nibs are smooth and uniformly good writers. I recently bought the lovely bright yellow and love it. I’d be happy to have more. I gave 1 each to my adult kids to introduce them to fountain pens and they think they are “OK”! Philistines!!!
Could you, please, tell me this. How do i keep my 2020 resolve to buy less pens, when everyone - you, Chris, Douglas - just keep singing praises to yet another nice looking pen? I guess, i don't. Because i just finished ordering yellow "cracked ice" one. I blame Chris for that particular choice.
Fascinating, as I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive, but larger pen to write with. I notice you say it's a steel nib (at that price, of course) yet I think it says 18k on the nib in your pictures. Is that gold plated then?
@@aaronspenvideos4420 ah cool. I mean, for the price, as long as it writes well, who cares, right? I was just curious. I think it's probably a lot of pen for really not much money, and I like that. hehe
I have two Jinhao Centennial pens. One with a Bock nib and the other with a Moonman nib. Both really good. Yes, a number 6 Moonman nib fits in a Jinhao pen with no problems.
Such an introduction! Thank you for the video. Now I will dream about Wing Sung 626
I just got this pen in the mail today-love the color!
Really competent and pleasant review. Thank you.
Much appreciated!

I have 3 of them and totally agree to your review. I only have skipping issues with Clairefontaine paper, so I use Oxford optic paper.
Glad to hear that you like your pens as well!
Glad to see another review from you, Aaron! Have missed your quality reviews.
Thank you!
Just got my second one. For the price it’s an excellent pen.
It is a very nice pen!
Thanks very much for another great video. It also looks like a Conklin Durograph.

Awesome job sharing fountain pens with your loved ones!
I have to ask, whats the nib size of the jinhao cintennial? Im planning to put a #6 flex nib on it if its the right size
It is a #6
Excellent!
Thank you!

I understand the struggle! @chrisrap52 has been the reason for many pen purchases!
nice review thanks
Do you know if their "M" is close to an European "F" ? Or is undistinguished ?
The jinhao nibs are more reliable than the moonman nibs, but they are quite broad and wet.
I enjoy the vast majority of my moonman nibs. With that being said Jinhao has done a great job with their nibs over the past years!

Jinhao claims their nib is gold plated.

It is definitely a nice pen for the money. The resin that they used for this pen is gorgeous in person!
I just bought it
