    Hi, I’m going to change my filter and fluid this week. Do you recall the torque requirement for the 10mm bolts? I’ll look in the manual too but thought I would ask here while I’m at it. Thanks!

      Hi Lydia. 10 Foot pounds or 110 inch pounds is recommended. Ive done a few of them and normally set by feel but it your have a torque wrench go for it.

    May I ask why the sensor needed to be replaced? I have one of these cars and my transmission is leaking out of the vent tube. Also I have slipping issues between 4th and 5th gears. My code is P0734 which a lot of videos explain the slipping is from a faulty/missing $20 gasket. But I don't know what could be causing the leaking from the vent tube.

      You could very well have a bad torque converter which is common for that code. The transmission will need to come out. Some times low fluid level or dirty fluid and clogged filter could cause that code.

      @@JPWilson-mo5kj Thanks for the quick reply. my mechanic put in a new filter. Gonna keep an eye on the leak. Was wondering if this sensor might fix the issue because i thought the transmission was overheating but looks like it might be something else. Was this car overheating?

      @@RexBuyeo Hi. No mine was not over heating. When the temp sensor goes it does not necessarily mean the transmission is over heating but that the sensor is not sending a signal back to the computer. The car drove completely fine it just had a code for a bad sensor.

      Overdrive bearing. Not too hard to do.

    Hey Mr Wilson, I heated my car soem weeks ago, i replaced almost all the sensors and I still keep getting 14 codes from my car? do you think I need a new ecu or a bad grounding from my ecu? ( and my car does not shift)

    • @jonp167
      @jonp167 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rol. Although its hard to diagnose this with out more info over the internet It sounds to me with 14 codes that a bad ECU is quite possible.

    Hi there thanks for the great good video. I've encountered probs with my hyundai accent 2004 auto,which is it do run fine for the first 5km or so,but then when the speed is going down below 60kmh,it will go into safe mode n stay at third gear only. This happens quite often,n does anybody know,if my solenoid gearbox sensor is bad or my tempt sensor gearbox is bad? Tq in advance for any reply..😄

      I'm having the same problem. I'm about to change the filter and fluid, see if I have any luck. Have you figured out what the problem on your tranmission was?

      @@KonstantinosKapetis i do 3 things
      1) change solenoid sensor in the valve body
      2) change the trans temp sensor as in this vid
      3) change the rubber/steel oil seal on the final overdrive hub..
      But from my observation,i think the limp mode stuck at 3rd gear is because of the point no 3,the rubber/steel oil seal has been worn out.. the temp sensor only makes the gear shift from 3rd to 4th delay for about few minutes.

    Is this for an automatic or manual trans? REALLY wish you guys would delineate in your video titles.

      If you can't tell by watching the video if this is a manual or automatic I would not recommend you working on your own car. Not only did I mention about automatic transmission fluid many times in this video you can see a zoom in of the automatic transmission fluid and filter which manuals do not have..

    I have Elantra 2001 can't change transmission filter. Only drain fluid every six month. In my car is Mitsubishi transmission . To change filter need to drop down transmission. This is stupid Mitsubishi idea.

    • @jonp167
      @jonp167 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alex. That is very similar to most Honda transmissions. The filter is internal and can not be changed without disassembly of the transmission. Its important on these types of transmissions to change the fluid every 30k miles.
