I'm hours late to the party, but I recently had a realization: Karate has become so ubiquitous in popular media that my 6 year old son, despite REPEATEDLY reminding him that I train in Muay Thai and BJJ, always asks me when I leave for the gym: "are you going to do Karate again?" Anything with punches and kicks, regardless of my insistence that I have NEVER formally trained in any type of Karate, is Karate to small children. It's ALWAYS Karate! Same with my son's friends and classmates, I "do" Karate as far as they are concerned. So yeah, I will endeavor to be a shining example of your original discipline, Sensei Seth. I will not let you down, you have my word.
I am 100% for kicking with jeans on, if you train to kick with jeans on. I will however say, even if you kick with jeans on, don't throw a roundhouse kick in cowboy boots.
"don't kick with jeans on". This is why I wear jeans that are so stretchy; they may as well be joggers. Also, I wear joggers. My rule is that if I can't randomly squat in them, I'm not wearing them.
I watched the Self Defense championships that Rokas Leo posted yesterday. 2 hours + of some of the most entertaining martial arts I've ever seen. Good job, Seth, and all of you. What a unique and awesome idea!
Have you seen the video of this little girl who is supposed to break a wood panel by stomping it? This is the funniest, cutest thing in martial arts ever! 😂😂
Idk if its this but when i heard the kung fu sound I thought everybody was kung fu fighting and those cats were fast as lightning in fact it was a little bit frightening but they fought with expert timing.
That Chinese sounding tune is called the "Oriental riff." It's actually a western creation. Haha, whoops. (Side note: It's in Super Mario Land, once you get to the Chai Kingdom.)
Yo Seth i once dreamed we were robbing a karate museum and the alarm suddenly went off while I was taking too much time not forgetting things especially my purse
I have to say, for being a random recommended video, I really warmed up to Zak. I started to lose skepticism pretty early on and just enjoyed hanging out and hearing the commentary.
Hi you probably wont see this but because of you i found a love of Sumo wrestling and now cant stop watching highlights on TH-cam I especially love Enho because hes a small guy beating bigger sumo wrestlers ! ... TY happy New Year.
That little melody was an intro at the beginning of a 1980 song by the Vapors called “Turning Japanese” I mean pretty sure they sampled it from somewhere else, however that’s the same intro.. ✌️😊
Its the groan that gets ya I've been kicked so many time by my students I started to wear a stronger cup but my niece was the worst one she would take out a lot people she faced in events here in OK.
A Kali classmate of mine said "you're picking this up really fast," to which, after I finished flashing back to my friends and I having duels with wooden swords in backyards, I said, "I have an exceptionally embarrassing past."
love this. My second video from Seth, first being "Karate Girl vs Untrained Guy" this cracks me up. Also...Seth, you need to be cast for "the son" in a sequel to "Nobody".You look like a bigger, buffer version of Bob Odenkirk.
Imagine ancient battlefields full of conscripts with minimal training or farmers out on their first campaign. A lot of them would be falling down, trying ineffective things, panicking, dying in heaps.
4:41 - It's usually known as the "oriental riff" or "Chinaman lick," according to Wikipedia, and was composed in the west in the mid-19th century as a musical motif or trope to represent the east in various media (yes, sometimes with racist overtones).
The asian jingle you couldnt think of was: I think im turning Japanese by The Vapors. Which was famously used in the first Jackass movie. Which was first an asian jingle from a classic kungfu movie
When you said about the jeans, i understand but go tell that to micheal jai white in blood and bone 😂😂😂 (i do understand i could b mistaken he may mot have wore jeans but as far as my memory recounts he does)
4:38 the furthest back I’ve ever heard that jingle is from a Rush song called “A passage to Bangkok” But I find it hard to believe that that’s where it originated from. I’ve been trying to figure this out my whole life lol
The first one with the Marines is actually very real, it's called a diffused strike in law enforcement and it's a strike to the brachial plexus nerve cluster. while that is an extreme example it can actually knock someone out with very little pressure. You strike to the brachial plexus which is near the base of the neck. It's safe to do if you want to test it, but watch where the person might fall.
I learn and practice kenjutsu with real sharp blades as my teammates. We learn a lot about area control. Watch before the cut, practice aua cut in safety ways. After a lot of practice (years) we start use our sharp blades for these things. Most of the accidents comes when you take out your sword or when you put it in the saya, cause your attention is not good enough or just your concentrarion level is lower after your fight but... the fight finis after you leave the area, the warzone!
6:05 so we had this one idea... there is this one event, where you go for a swimm in the aare (river) in late november... so idea is, that our group goes in the kimono... so just a group of blackbelts swimming in the kimono while it is -5°C outside...
6:05 I usually have Muay Thai right after bjj so I never wear my gi outside of the gym but I will OCASSIONALLY wear my Thai shorts at the store on my way home. Maybe change into my gi pants at the end of work to save some time
Seth... The asian song thing is named the asian riff, it was created vy westerns by the way, but the Vapors made it famous on the song named Turning Japanese.
"only two sleeves between the three of them" Is one of the finest insults I have ever heard. Darn near choked me.
"The Ratio" is what got me 😂
@@General_Kenobi_212 and how the number did go down lol

sounds like your son knows how to push your buttons. good on ya, kids going places.
Honestly, you just gotta lean into that. These days, I just say things like "I'm busy on Tuesday nights; I have karate-fighting practice..."
"My child will learn Karate" 😇
"My child will wrist lock yours" 😈
As a kid I was doing Kung Fu and my grandma always asked "Are you going to Judu?" Not Judo, "Judu".

@@mrpalindrome3067with enough finesse anything can be done
That only works if you're Chuck Norris.
Chuck Norris doesn't kick with his Jeans! He kicks with his GENES!
The biggest fail of the video is the sound of microphone scraping against your hoodie
Love ya Seth
autism detrected
my buddy was the guy in blue pants that got hit in the nuts during the board break.
I laugh so hard everytime this clip pops up on the internet.
*throws the worst punches in history*
*pulls a Scott Adkins kick out of nowhere*
*refuses to elaborate*

Maybe he just watched the kicks to perfection and paid no attention to the upper body?
"don't kick with jeans on". This is why I wear jeans that are so stretchy; they may as well be joggers. Also, I wear joggers. My rule is that if I can't randomly squat in them, I'm not wearing them.
i just wear loose pants.... the only pants i couldn't kick in was my work pants
The third one made me laugh not because of the fail but the sound after it 😂😂😂 also the OOH😂😂😂
When you said "and a single Bud Light" 😂😂😂
That swamp water is only good for forcing yourself to get drunk, so it's indeed weird it's only one
"Only 2 sleeves between the 3 of them" had me on the floor going "ughhhhhhh"

Actually it's a riff from a 70's song called Turning Japanese by a band called The Vapours.

I almost spit out my drink when you got to the AI-derived "US Taekwondo Black Belt Jail", that was definitely a Try Not to Laugh fail!
Seth, you're fixin' to get to the Kat Williams stage of age where yawning, coughing, or sneezing without stretching first will become dangerous...
The only time i wear my gi outside of class is winter, and I'm wearing a jacket on top so the only part of the uniform you see is the pants.
Editor Zac... what the heck. You went crazy on this one.
Kudos!
There is another outcome for jeans. The seat gets ripped out if your legs are stronger than the seam.
As the (corrupt) referee, I can attest that he didn't laugh a single time and was very fair play.
I have to say, for being a random recommended video, I really warmed up to Zak. I started to lose skepticism pretty early on and just enjoyed hanging out and hearing the commentary.
I got a good laugh out of them. Happy new year Seth. :D
honestly, do more of these. Got a real kick out of them, no pun intended lol.
Great content thanks!
I'm guessing someone didn't realize the roll was a legitimate attack and just thought that person got koed by a somersault. Which would kinda funny
