I definitely think that most of the values you assigned there were a lot lower than the actual values. The anime keychain, for example, I'd estimate closer to $6-$7 minimum, and the earbuds likely $15-$50.The headphones would probably retail near $100. Also, I would be so thrilled with those sequin things and the cat purse, for sure. And as to the 'we just got the worst' bit, I personally would consider that cubby the best of the column.
Plus, it's the fun of the search that's the point, at least to me ^_^

The prices of some of the items they unboxed are higher then you think. As said by other comments, some of the items were "7$-10$" while they guessed around 2$ and called them "fails". I'm stating that most of the prices that they guessed are WAY underpriced then what they really are.
