@d darko What do you mean ? dhx2 comes in various eye to eye and stroke lengths. Travel is even more dependent on the rear kinematics and leverage curve.
@@jbarker6 might also be a 150mm rear travel considering it's mullet compatible, thought I heard it's best for a mullet if there's 20mm difference between rear and front travel, please correct me if i'm wrong though haha
I was about to order the Druid and this comes up!!! Awesome!!! I know you are preparing for races but please continue test rides on this new bike as we need more info on how she rides. It is going to be my only bike, ride anything, anywhere, so we need to know if the extra travel makes it a pure racing machine and not an all rounder like the Druid. Great videos, keep them coming!
Cool they are bringing out a longer travel version! Not gonna lie though gutted your not gonna race the Druid, was looking forward to seeing how you got on at EWS with 130mm travel.
Really like the testing vids. Just got my suspension back from J-Tech with a custom tune for megatower, way better, far plusher!! Good luck for next weeks race!!!
Wow !!;Lewis it looks amazing ,you looked blown away by what this bike will eventually be capable of once your comfortable ! I think your relationship with Forbidden fits like a glove ! I bet your super excited about going forward ! I spoke with the guys over at grizedale yesterday from the bike shop with Sam ! Looking forward very soon to go up & demo the druid in the mullet !! Have you one more video coming out before you head of to Zermatt & by the way I think I can speak for all your subscribers in wishing you all the very best for Zermatt we are all behind you ! 👍👌🤙🌲🌲🚵🌲🌲🌲🚵😃🌟
Fantastic, Maybe due to the travel being bigger it is able to absorb a lot more and a lot more comfort which would make it feel like it is to soft, also the frame being fatter in places will also absorb & take a lot of the kick back from the trails and distribute it throughout the frame, but i am a novice when it comes suspension bikes as i have been a roady for over 20 years & owned my last mountain bike in 1988 and things have changed since then, anyway lovely machine, don't take this the wrong way but at times it looked like the bike was out thinking you if you get my drift, which is want you want to be fair, anyway thank you for showing this.
Just when I was about to pull the Trigger on the Druid there you are on a prototype, I'll keep my powder dry and wait for the launch of whatever the prototype will be, looks very capable.
after I saw the fort william video on druid, I also came to conclusion that I need just that but like w 160mm travel to hit the local blue flow trails. cool.
Lewis that looked faster than you were on the druid, and just wanted to say a bit on how much your channel has grown in such a short space of time, if u keep putting out videos with the same quality as u have been, I can see your channel really growing big time, this was a great video mate. Ps I wrote this before I had seen your times run.
This bike makes everything look like you are floating on air. Plus it is so quite. The one large jump you were hitting looked like nothing and when you touched down you appeared to be more in control. That is the beauty of longer travel. So now you just need to keep doing that thing you do!
Can tell your concentrating hard because there’s no talking in some clips for the first time so so fast almost getting motion sick 💨 so so cool to watch
Really enjoy this stuff . As soon as you pushed on you could see the speed and the ease of the bike. It's a shame your mechanic is short on words 😉. New subscriber and loving the channel...
Bike looks superb Lewis. If this is the last vid before racing best of luck Mate, be great to see you smash it out the park. If there's another vid before racing then keep this in the bag until then. 👍
Not sure what your GoPro setup was mate but compared to runs on the Druid, there was clearly less feedback coming through the bike to you on this. Looks freakishly capable!
are you using 38's? and if so how do you set up the OneUp tool with no steerer plug? as the bottom of the 38's steerer is oval and the plug is circular
If it wasn’t for you talking it would seem like some of those runs were on fast forward.....so fast! New bike looks amazingly well designed if you are that much quicker after only a few runs and on a wetter track....crazy
I think that Forgotten has a good geo philosophy increasing rear center/chainstay length as size increases, makes absolute sense, more bike companies should do it and their actual design seems to ride really well. I'm curious though, why you'd go to a busy public trail system with jeep roads that trails cross, to test a bike on, what if that kid had been a vehicle, you'd be toast? Why not just go back to Fort BIll where the track is continuous and probably actually a better test for a longer travel bike like this?
Bike looks like a Missile! I'm surprised at how much air pressure your putting in the Fork ?? Obviously your a rapid rider but I'm really surprised that the Fork doesn't feel harsh and not grip the ground properly with that amount of air ? I take it your a pretty light Guy aswell? And with the 38 they reckon you need less air than the 36 ?
They are much the same I feel as the 36! They are different to last years 36 though. Seems like they need more air. I’m only 74kg but I mean it seems to work for me
I'm super hyped for this bike to come out. I'm going to have a hard time not ordering one on day one! I just hope they've gone a bit bigger this time, I'm 6'6" (198cm) and the Druid always seemed like it would be too small for me.
@@StrayGoat89 well, they sell Nicolai bikes with different stickers, soooo just look which one's easier to get where you're based? But yeah, they have huuuuge sizes and will do custom if need be. Eying the G1, it seeems juicy! The look isn't for everyone, though
@@StrayGoat89 thx, I'll probably get it as 2nd bike or replace my Saturn 11 with a Druid. I'm abusing that XC bike over big built trails, but I won't get to bikeparks often enough to fully profit of the G1. But if I get there, it'd be perfect
“Still taking it easy” in other words absolutely flying compared to most. Great video keep it up 👍🏻

Next will be the DH version, can you imagine how quick that would be.
Haha! 🤙🏽
If it's downhill I'm going like stink.
In case anyone was after it, 3.4 cm of sag @ 20% means a 170mm fork... So far, so good, Forbidden.
More curious on the rear travel. I assume it was a 170. It's a 38 and Pinkbike had a picture of one in line w/a zeb
