    So why does my C300De only show a max of 21 miles range on a full charge, can you explain ?

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The two main factors are driving style and ambient temperature.
      The car will calculate the maximum driving range based on how you've used the battery in the past - exactly the same as how it will calculate how far you should get on your fuel based on your previous fuel consumption. It can help to reset the trip computer.
      Ambient temperature can also impact battery capacity - it is not uncommon for projected range to drop with the temperature. It's the nature of the beast with lithium-ion batteries and is similar to how a mobile phone's battery may drop a little quicker in colder temperatures.
      Something you can do to help mitigate this is to use pre-entry climate control: firing up the air conditioning when the car is plugged in means the cabin will be at the right temperature for when you start your journey so the air conditioning will not have to work quite so hard when you are on the move. When plugged in the car will draw any power it uses from the external power source and this energy flow will start to get the battery up to its optimum operating temperature before you get going.
      Because of the way the car uses regenerative braking not every mile driven is a mile's worth of energy used - at the end of your journey check the ECO display on the instrument cluster. The mileage "bonus" will show you how many miles worth of energy you've recovered on your trip.

    Hello
    How about the boot space? I heard battery 🔋 takes large amount of space in the boot . Is that correct? I will buy the car for airport transfers but the boot space put me off.

      @@tiborpataki749 Hello! I didn’t buy it because hybrids are still too expensive and boot space is small also if you are doing long journeys like me (not city driving) it’s not worth it ! I bought a Skoda Superb for a change huge boot space very comfortable and economic however I would but just normal AMG E class not hybrid. They are still great cars.

    Is the one you driving an AMG Line ? Alloy wheels look like an AMG line but the front grill with the Mercedes logo looks like a normal E-Class.

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Yes, this is an AMG Line. This generation of E-Class Saloon and Estate models don't have the diamond grille. Only the Coupe and Cabriolet do. However, the new face lift E-Class Saloon (which was revealed earlier this year) does have the diamond grille. Do we still have to pay congestion charge for this mercedes in london!? Also whats the price for Road Tax ?
    Thanks

    • @LandLAutomotive
      @LandLAutomotive  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The car is ULEZ exempt and until October 24th this year eligible for the 100% Cleaner Vehicle Discount for the congestion charge zone. After this date the discount is only for battery electric vehicles.
      As for road tax, the first year for a new E-Class plug-in-hybrid is £0 and £480 thereafter as all models fall into the premium rate bracket for vehicles with a list price of over £40,000.
      Further information for congestion charge exemptions can be found here: tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/discounts-and-exemptions
