At some point in your life, everyone should drive a Porsche!
Well done. Labor of love and you pulled it off, didn’t quit or give up like many do! Congratulations!
The original front bumper was WAY better but the rest of the car magnificently done.
agree, for each their own. still great job.
Congratulations Man!
Totally Awesome Mate. My favourite car of all time and still looks ahead of its time today. Done an amazing job hear.
Great job sir! Looks amazing
Good Restoration, Nice Work💡
Well done!
i like the music and the car
Where did you get that shocking music? Spoils the film.
also the front bumper is an offset white
nice job, 944 II - a Turbo front and back always fits better.....(but is not original, ok)...what is interesting, did the pre-owner change the front seats ? Because they are from a 944 Turbo (S) and not from a standard 944
great job! love the interior. I have the exact same car. I want to do what you did and also rebuild the engine with high performance parts and a turbo charger. I've had this car since I was about 11 yrs. old, 28 now, so buying one that is already turbocharged isn't an option lol. any way thumbs up.
Hi. Don't waste your money on too many engine upgrades. I have mine in the shop right now to do the timing belt, water pump, stat, wires etc for a complete engine rebuild. The shop I use is a race car style shop. Their advice was that the gains would be minimal for the money spent on upgrades. I'm told a new cam will make it smoother.
Thanks for the comment. Of course, the car is not worth what I have invested anymore but will be solid for another 100K miles!
I get what you mean about money vs how much hp gains come of it. I'm not looking for much, about 290-325 whp and I would be very pleased.
Nice job! I am looking at a resto project for me and my son, one of them is a white 944. I absolutely love what you did to the interior and glad you kept it white. Where did you get the interior bits from? Also, the one I am looking at has a leaky waterpump (Seems to be common on these) so i will need to get that replaced, will aslo do the timing belt while its open. WHat did the garage charge for yours? Again, great video and beautifully done car
So, I learned the hard way that you need to change the timing belt BEFORE it breaks. the good news if that disaster is that i took the opportunity to redo the complete engine. did everything right down to the coolent reservoir (its actually white now). when you do your pump, I think the only ones you can get new are the turbo ones.
I am lucky that i have a specialist garage about 3 miles from my house and they do great mechanical work that i would never tackle.
I redid the dash over the winter. its actually easier than you would think, just make sure you prep the surface and you will need to get a cover for the vent holes. i can post a video on that if i get a chance.
On the color change, the seats were redone in black so that was easy (if not cheap). i bought a lot of items off ebay in black.
for the carpet, i actually used a carpet spray. it applies like paint but you can vaccuum it and it wears very well. the car is not a daily driver so does not see a lot of wear & tear anyway.
Yes, the "pastel biege" is a bit of a head turner in traffic.
Good luck on your car and post some videos. I have a Jag worth 5 times as much but i still drive the old Porsche!
Also, since that was posted i added a MOMO steering wheel which fits right on with the adaptor and looks really good. Just this spring i got 16" rims so i can run track tires and i posted a video on the wheel spacers required to put abs rims on a non-abs hub...
hate that front bumper, but a hell of a job. Cheers
I actually like it. Do you know where to get one?

where did you get the interior?
Hi. I had a local seat guy do the seats. the rest I did myself. the carpet was a lot of cleaning and the color change used a carpet color spray (its actually quite easy once the carpet is clean). The leather trim etc i got parts off eBay and replaced. mostly time and few curse words.
What the hell is that music? Sounds like about 3 songs playing over the top of each other. Completely ruins the video.....but nice car!
Good vid bad music
songs terrible
