That seems interesting! I’m still waiting on my Mira but I was under the impression that I would be able to connect it to my home wifi (without the Bridge). Is that not the case?
Hi Emily, what do you mean when you say you're selecting the origin? Also, am I connecting the lightbridge only from my phone? I might need some coffee to understand it all. LOL
I kind of have the reverse question: how do you deactivate WIFI? I use an ethernet cable, and everytime I start my Mira7, the wifi turn on and the screen shows LAN: Off until I press the wifi button to turn off the wifi. Once the wifi is off, lan works well.
is this outdated? i just bought a mira 7 and it looks like its using its own system, not a lightburn bridge. i have to connect to they lasers own network and disconnect from my home network to talk to the machine
Very informative, really hate i missed the live....would've absolutely loved the chance to win one of these. excited about the release either way. this is going to the top of the list...thanks for your video!
That is such wonderful news and thanks to Lightburn for the hard work. I use a mac and have experienced the pain of drop data while cutting. I have lots of Raspberry Pis 3 and 4' around that I use for 3D printing under OctoPi, but where can I get the img file so I can load it up? Also, where can I buy you prepackage of Lightburn Bridge? I didn't see in on the website.
It won’t be available until later in the month. They sent it to me to try it out and give feedback but I was so excited about it I made a video 🤣. They are working to have the complete kit and img file available at the end of the month.
Is this just designed for more of the industrial style lazers that have a ruida control panel and ethernet connection? what about the hobby lazers that dont?
Guess I need to head back to their forums. Had no clue this was even an option now. I've just had my laser plugged into my router via the ethernet port.
Wonderful! Can’t wait and so glad they addresses the Mac glitches!!

This is a gamechanger! It's just like my 3D printers, now my laser can be controlled wirelessly!
Received my pi went through the set up but it still does not connect to the controller, i put the usb back and it connected ok, what am i missing
Same. Just got mine yesterday, it finds it in my phone, but my Mac won't find it. So frustrating.

After a year do you still use this? Would you recommend it? Or is direct connection better?
This is an awesome video Emily. Thank you for sharing. May I ask, what do you call that device and where can I get/buy that? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! LightBurn has all of the details here docs.lightburnsoftware.com/LightBurnBridge.html
Did they mention if this would work with lightburn camera too?
This was my question also, thanks for asking!! And thanks to LightBurn for answering!
@@lightburnsoftware7189 thanks for the reply!
Well, Lightburn doesn't have any bridges in stock right now anyway, so I didn't bother "watching to the very end."
Can't wait to have it! This is AMAZINGLY AWESOME!
Your video made it so easy to set up the bridge and do a test cut on my new 80W laser!
If I just ordered the bridge, and got it today...do i need to flash the card first or just plug it in???
If you bought it through lightburn then you do not need to flash the card first. Just follow the steps in this video :)

Good job Emily! Nice product introduction.

Most hobby lasers do not run off of LightBurn. If the laser is operating with LightBurn software, then the bridge will be compatible.
I want to have wifi for my laser!!! Can't wait for my laser to arrive in a couple weeks!!!
