Cyberpunk music is basically 80's electronica music. Almost everything about the 80's, even the fashion is what can be seen as "futuristic". The 80's were way ahead of their time.

Mental Minority's track, "Dystopia Now," and its use of the audio-book script of O'Brien from George Orwell's, 1984, is utterly suburb. This gives me chills and welling feelings of a sad bleak future.

Great mix. Sadly, Cyberpunk 2077's music direction is different, it seems less cyber and a lot more punk. There are those who think this music collection is "out of place" in a game like CP2077
I agree. I feel like they missed the mark with music. Synthwave is part of the aesthetic of the cyberpunk genre, and the fact that they had none of it really disappointed me

Cyberpunk is a departure from the melancholic Blade Runner style
@@miguelpereira9859 there is only one kind of Cyberpunk (genre) , so Cyberpunk 2077 (the game) cannot go its own way and still call itself a Cyberpunk game. I would agree the game has Cyberpunk influences, but it would need to use more Cyberpunk music, be darker in tone, with ambience being foggier and rainier. The Cyberpunk genre has always had that Blade Runner melancholy not because of Blade Runner, but because Cyberpunk.
