Brilliant a thumbs 👍 up from me as allways. The stands look great wish I had the room.i have to keep putting mine away. My Dad made it for me so it means alote to me and he loved playing a game with me when I was young and even when I got older good memories love it keep the vlogs coming.😊
Thanks Paul, I know I’m lucky to have the space, when I lived at my mom’s house it was always a pain getting my stuff out and having to put it away. It’s really nice that you have the memories of playing the game with your dad, that’s what it’s all about, remembering those good times. 👍
i remember aged 15 my mum saying, aren’t you too old for that? now 47 and making my own flats 😂 currently 200+ teams .. latest is clydebank ref 73. worked through the original 190 reference chart.. proves she didn’t understand the bug 😂
@@pitchforkcustom I know my other half can’t understand it either, but it’s a harmless hobby so she accepts it 😁 meant to add, fair play for making your own flats, way beyond my skill and patience level 👍
@@pitchforkcustom yes I was a bit off the mark with that one, Scotland could not have started any worse, that sending off fully deserved. I like the old 1970’s tackling but in this day and age you can’t do that. I’ve had a cheeky £10 on Germany winning the tournament, helps playing at home.
Blimey that was touch and go for getting it done before the actual game kick off. Anyway no frills and no idea! You can tell I've been playing Subbuteo Cricket recently! Anyway I hope you enjoy the mayhem!
As a little kid I played this game. I think it must be around 35 years ago. I didn't know it still existed. Now we play on console PES 20 or 21 and EAFC 24. Funny to see this back from my youth period.
Same here, played it when I was a kid and got back into it. My Son has had the FIFA games on console and as good as they look and play it just doesn’t feel the same way as actual flicking the players on a pitch, feels a lot more interactive than playing on screen. But that’s just my humble opinion 👍😊
The '67 Advanced Rules allowed only three blocking flicks for each offensive possession, restored to the full count only if the attacker passes backwards. That scheme could work for solo Subbuteo, though the modern solo rules say you can dispense with blocking flicks altogether, which is how most solo players run their matches. Matter of individual player choice. The predecessor game to Subbuteo, Newfooty, made no provision at all for defensive blocking flicks in its rules. As an experiment, you should try playing a match on a marked-out army wool blanket, which is what Subbuteo was originally designed to be played on, and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks for that info, for me as a solo player I find blocking flicks slow the game down too much. So for me to keep the game moving quicker I only have a blocking flick when I’m about to shoot. And that blocking flick can’t be between the shooting player and the ball. Using the marked army blanket would be hard to play on I would imagine. We’re spoilt a bit with the pitches we have but I’m pleased that we do. Not having a consistent run of the player would be frustrating which I guess might happen on the old army blanket. 👍
Yes they would, got a bit of a wake up call there, if they get out of the group fair play but they just don’t have enough top level players. Was talking to my son about Scotland and said they haven’t had a good team since 1974-78!

did well getting that up.. shame the actual result was a bit of a disastrous start 😮

great video! i like this format
Cheers, very raw and as it happens, not sure that’s a good thing 😁
totally agree. me and my mates never ever played 'defensive' or 'block' flicks. and we just moved players for corners and throw ins and free-kicks
@@LdevArt Absolutely, for a quick free flowing game don’t need all that defensive flicks nonsense 😉
That goal from Scotland, absolutely top benjamins! Love the content.
A miss hit 😁, great to hear that you’re enjoying the channel, very kind of you to say 👍

Well, the "real" Scotland would have taken that result tonight - they struggled to even get a shot on goal against a very good German side.
