I hated all new metal and stopped taking in new bands in 2008 with all the fucking numetal and later djent (and even dubstep) pushing itself into everything. Wasn't aware this band existed until about a year ago.
Thumbs up those who can't stop looping 6:45 till the end of the song. Simply mind blowingly awesome!

Something about this song is so cathartic. That closing riff is a pure release of energy.. i still get endless chills and almost feel like crying because of how beautiful it is, as stupid as that sounds. Absolute masterpiece, perhaps the greatest closing track ever made

This is my absolute favorite metal song from my absolute favorite metal album from my absolute favorite metal band. I know a lot of people swear by Stone's Reach, and I know it hasn't been out long enough to fully establish itself as a metal classic for a lot of people, but I instantly fell in love with this album when it released.

What an incredible song. I normally shy away from growls - but this beautiful piece would not be complete without them. Kudos to Be'lakor - truly a remarkable accomplishment.

Amazing song, I recently discovered this band I don't usually listen to this type of metal but i was so lucky that a radio station played Abeyance while i was driving i was amazed of how awesome that song was and took a picture for the band name and song while i was driving because i was worried that i might forget the name of the band, many comments recommending other melodic death metal I tried some even the famous bands but nothing comes close to this bands music, I really hope to see the band live one day in California

Countless Skies are named after one of Be'Lakor's songs, and with good reason :D also Fractal Gates is amazing. Insomnium and In Mourning are somewhat similar, but more gloomy (especially Insomnium). Also very great atmospheric bands though.
Epic and glorious! Be'lakor never fails to experimenting with guitar tone, chords progression and riffs. Pure satisfaction!

The ending sections of this song are so incredible. It’s all at once incredibly uplifting and profoundly sad. I miss the people who are gone.
Belakor has been truly an outstanding addition to the melodeath genre. I actually did not like most of the songs on this particular album, but no grudge; this song plus An Ember's Arc are excellent. Belakor, you deserve some serious metalhead recognition. The part that starts around 4:45 hit me like a truck.

The part where the protagonist is seized during his sleep and tied and thrown in the fire in fromt of his resigned family always brings tears to my eyes.
The guitar parts perfectly reflects the feelings of hopelessness, despair and free or death. A masterpiece.
I like how this story leads to more general thoughts in the end of the songs.

His relatives become anxious about his condition and fear his illness could spread, so they plan to kill him in a big stake. The man soon finds himself bound and being taken to the pyre which is already surrounded by his grieving family.

I realize this is up for interpretation but I don't think that's what they were going for.
This album is about a particle of some kind of sun that travels to some kind of earth. In its time on that planet it passed through different kind of organisms. Each time that particle went inside an organism, the organism started to die. The particle starts within the sap flow of a tree. That tree died and the particle found its way into the roots of a plant. The plant has a scent that attracts bees. A bee comes near the dying plant and the particle get passed on. eventually the bee dies and falls within a river, so the particle is in the river. A man drinks water from the river (the start of this song) and slowly dies. Eventually he is cremated and the particle is released again (end of this song) making its way out of this world.
This is a summary of my interpretation of the album. The songs are connected wonderfully.
The wait has been worth it. I'm absolutely in love with the new songs of Be'lakor.
