I was never really a 1D fan, I only really heard of them after Harry Style' solo career attracted my attention and I later returned to them when I was researching a story on women grooming young men. Since then I was always fairly sympathetic towards Payne as I feel he was straight up groomed and because I struggle with addiction. However that sympathy is completely gone in light of want has recently come out about his mistreatment of women and exploration of powwer.

He has been talking about 1D constantly to chase clout and get attention so he isn't forgotten while his bandmates have moved on from the shadow of the band and are successful in their solo career. And since Maya was 18 when they started dating it’s technically legal I mean there are bigger celebrity age gaps than 7 years. Now, it’s obvious he’s problematic and not a very nice person beyond what is reasonable to view with pity based on knowing how bad things can be for young people in the music industry. I’m a fan of Louis and it’s always struck me as off that he defends Liam so much. Louis seems like a really genuine person and someone who’s the opposite of Liam where he doesn’t manipulate and isn’t attention seeking. I hope Louis distances himself from Liam after all this because it’s not defendable behavior and I believe Louis knows that to be true. I wouldn't blame Louis... I understand what you say and how that can damage your perception of him, but with everything he's been through and all the people he lost, I don't blame him for trying to hold on to a significant relationship he's had for so long... Even if that person is problematic...
As someone who’s been noticing 1D’s behaviour on and off post band for YEARS, Louis will never part from Liam because he’s loyal to a fucking fault for better or for worse. At most, he’ll just stay silent on him from now on, despite how shitty that is. What Liam did is beyond reprehensible to his girlfriends and fans. In a perfect world, we would see at least someone like Louis making a statement saying that he denounces Liam and his actions, but that won’t ever happen unless there’s a certain amount of pressure on him to do so. But I can guarantee you right now, that man will NOT say anything on his own accord. He never has anyway.
