I love the props using Rockets as makeshift flares. Would've been funnier with early jets and the Me 262s up to 48 R4Ms
I tried using the A1's rockets as flares in custom matches against late jets. It was weird. one time it worked, other times it didn't, but I also managed to DODGE an F-16's rockets so whatever works I guess, it's weird.

The Grim Reapers did something like this in DCS. Time-travelling A-10s vs. WW2 Wehrmacht. They died pretty fast because the A-10 is so slow prop fighters can catch it and not maneuverable enough to dogfight them.
Also, in War Thunder I've sometimes brought BR 2.7 props into high tier to try to get God Mode awards against AGM helis. I once killed an A-10 with a Yak-7B that way; once I was close, he didn't stand a chance.
Growling Sidewinder also has a cool vid of the A10 Thunderbolt vs the old P47 Thunderbolt
It probably would have done better if they had bomber formations of A-10s.
Some of the missiles exploding midair were from people like me launching rockets at them as countermeasures
That last match was genuinely very entertaining. A nail biter of sorts with lots of back and forth, really nicely done.

I have the a10 premium and honestly idk how they are so bad in it. You can turn on the ballistic computer for head on and just draw lines in turns. Maybe it's easy for me cus I play the mig 23 with them good ol low velocity 23mm so idk lol

Well it is still a aircraft it has to also be built to take on any aircraft or ground to air missle

Finding me in he video! 0:36 MA IM ON BIG SCREEN, And I know it’s me becuase I was using rockets wih my F4U-4B and I lunched 3 at the beginning on accident and there is 5 on the plane. 3:24 the F6F all by its self in the middle of the props form is me as well, 5:25 the only name visible prop on screen, 10:56 of to the left a little now in the F4u like in the beginning of the video and that’s it, it was fun to participate in this video

To me this shows like sometimes you can't be too over reliant on missiles and sometimes it can be fun with guns flying jets. That's just me of course

If the A-10 players had played it slow and focused on energy trapping the props then they would have it in the bag. If the ammo does not run out first that is.
after hearing him say the a10 players were "experienced" and then watching the first guy immediately blow all his alt against a dozen prop planes... yeah not all of them were very bright.

The su 25 can survive near 10 ground to air missle in game but in real life it would be lucky to survive 1 and that'd the same with the a10
You had syberts music from command conquer casts, if you did it knowingly, can you bring it back? I think it fits war thunder pretty good.

A10 pilots using smol brain mode. Stay high and stop diving down to the ground below a spaghetti bowl of hostiles. Pick them off as they try and fly up to you.
They are primarily used at low altitude as a ground support vehicle…

I would say the A-10s are being way too aggressive. The A-10 is basically a 262 with higher muzzle velocity, missiles, and better armor. You can't just tank prop planes with that. You need to actually B&Z and maintain an energy advantage.
Make the same challenge, but with SU-25K
The thing is your pitting CAS against war birds these prop plane are incredible at their one job to take out aircraft
this makes total sense because the thunderbolt is a CLOSE AIR SUPORT JET not a fighter
Still faster than props so it should not even be a challenge

there was one bf109 play who got like six kills in the first two matches lol
gotta fly in the direction of the sun the missle immidiatly lock on to the sun over everything else
4 rounds in 16 minutes is surprisingly low

Your best bet would be alt and keep speed don’t turn and be as light as possible with only Air to Air missiles

That purple A10 skin looked sweet! Yes, the A10 is very well armored in reality, but we all know that Gaijin didn't allow that for the ones in this game! It's absolutely ridiculous.
No. The A-10s armor is very accurately modeled in game. It's just that the idea of a survivable plane is a myth. There's a reason that the a-10 was only deployed to shoot terrorists in the desert, and not against militaries with actual aa.

Why go for the low ones? I always go top down. It eliminates the risk of boom and zoom.
these A-10 players are so bad, literally firing their missiles head-on which makes it less effective since the others can see it and can maneuver early on, then they'll panic when hit then dive which makes them much easier target and lose their energy, and lastly they'll act like a superprop.
