GREAT video, GREAT camera angle, ESPECIALLY on the trans mating surface ....
Thank you so much for watching!
Excellent video! Made for a fun project. Although the replacement CV axel had a 32mm nut, so I had to buy a 30mm and 32mm. Not a big deal, but may trip up someone, if you don't double check before leaving the parts store.
Bro this is an awesome video, great job!
Appreciate it!
My Suggestion:
Put Nuts On LugStuds To Protect Threads From PryBar When Removing Main CV Nut On Shaft
Absolutely fantastic video, thanks!
This is a perfect video- thank you so much. This video is going to save me $300 🙏
❤❤❤❤thank you so much for this video. You are AWESOME MAN
You're welcome! Glad you liked it!
Great video 👍... My IS 250 axle is bad... Have been thinking of how to replace it. This video did a great deal
Thanks for watching!
I had my CV axle replaced about a year ago and now it appears the seal that connects to the transmission is leaking, would I risk ruining the good CV axle by taking it out? (Like how the old one in the video was damaged upon taking out)
Excellent video! Is the methodology essentially the same for the 2010 - 2015 models?
I've battled that with the putting that on to the point that you questioned whether you have the other end all the way down
Thank you for the help.
Great video. I’m replacing the passenger side axle on my ‘07 RX350. I’m having a hard time removing the support bearing. I see a CV removing tool with slide hammer, in two sizes. 48mm and 63mm. What size should I use? Also you mention oil dissolving grease. Is this commonly available? Thank you ver much. I owe you a beer.
you did not speak about the dynamic balance rubber in the one that you took off , why the new one does not have one is that an issues .
Would this be a similar process for a 2006 Lexus is250?
Great video bro
Would this repair be the same way on a 2007 Rx 400h Lexus
Any other link for the “Oil dissolving racing grease”?
The one provided is clear, but in the video it’s blue…
Why is the axel nut 30mm in the beginning and 32 in the end when you’re putting it back on?
Because the new nut is a different size. You don't reuse the old one. Thanks for watching!
I always replace that bearing when I replace that CV joint bearings cheap you're there and the old ones taking a bang probably from the bad CV
Dude does all this whilst wearing his Apple Watch! Brave!
It's just a watch. More robust than you might think. Thanks for watching!
Wear that watch doing this on passenger side in a damn near welded bearing race , basic tools and no air compressor, auto zone and hardware stores are closed , 😢 *cries in experience*
It would be $200 for the axle and at least $800 in labor
Mine tore the boot off and left the half in the transmission
Mine did also. It was a pain getting it out. But I managed to pry it out. I just did this job right now. Took me about 1.5 hours because of that issue. But it was pretty easy.
Thanks for the great video!
Would you know if the axel nut is the same size for a 2007 rx400h?
Back it up Marie Twerk It and it will be fine
