  • Tiger Woods underlined his status as the world’s greatest player with a mesmerising final round performance to win the Dubai Desert Classic, conjuring a sizzling 65 to take the title by a shot from Martin Kaymer.
On a day of thrilling drama at the Emirates Golf Club, Woods emerged the victor after a quite sensational back nine of six under par 31 that culminated in a stunning up and down for a title winning birdie on the 18th green. It was a classic Woods moment, the kind of finish that only a man of his peerless mental fortitude could produce.

Tiger’s reactions are priceless. No one has the energy and the skill of Woods, everyone else just falls short.

Clutch Tiger on the 18th once again with a huge putt.
He is the man for the moment!

I was there! I see myself standing next to the 17th tee. The reason no one clapped after his tee shot was because everyone thought he pushed it too far right. Little did we know, he hit it at the green! This brings back so many memories!

El Tigre, T-Dub, Dubya, Tiger 🐅, no matter how one addresses him, the one constant is him being the..."Sunday(G.O.A.T) Assassin"

Can we just talk about the fact that sportsbetting institutions gave Tiger EVEN MONEY against a field of 119 other competitors coming into the week? Not a soft field by any means; we have Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke, Henrik Stenson and up-and-comers we NOW know much better in Graeme McDowell, Martin Kaymer and Louis Oosthuizen.
One guy getting even money against ALL those heavy hitters is just something no sportsbetter EVER does unless they're the GOAT. And he just kept on delivering.
(Scottie Scheffler's well on his way to getting the even money treatment at this rate; I haven't been paying attention on that front though.)
