Just got a 40XD here in England. Can't say I'm all that impressed with it's drag; it hasn't got a particularly wide range of adjustment. I'm rather disappointed, especially it being a Daiwa product.
Ya it seems like a lot of those brands are taking the cheaper way out on everything except their top premium products, it’s a shame. if this was built better, and cost even a little more it’d be an amazing reel!

$14 @ bass pro, I use mine for catching sunfish that I in turn use for catfish bait. So far I like mine just fine

Mine broke after the first cast. I fixed it but it doesn't reel the same
