In this "How To" video in the vineyards at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Al shows how to do the Final Pruning of the Riesling, Gamay, and Marquette vines.
Even with your excellent teaching, I'm a bit thick-headed, so I'll watch this video again. I'm creating a grapevine system, but not sure what I'll do. Is the system on your video good for table grapes, or does that matter? *And how many inches from the ground is your lower wire?* What I'm doing are 2 wires... maybe at 36" for the lowest wire, and 58" for the highest wire. I only have 61" inches of post to use for the 2 wires, since I'm using a raised bed, so that took away 9" of post I can use for the 2 wires. I'll use some durable string as 'catch wire' to help direct the canes upward to the top wire.
The best, step by step tutorial I've seen! You're the man Sir Al!
Your teaching and sharing of ideas heard Loud and clear! Thank you so much!
Enjoyed learning hope to try this soon on a friend's vineyard. Simply but still alot to retain
Good job.
