I can't see a United without remembering Continental: 'The Proud Bird with the Golden Tail'. Now just an echo on the fin of United but us old folks remember.
I’m only 32, and fondly recall being fortunate enough to grow up flying Continental! It’s a damn shame what United’s management has done to the once great airline.
Wow, what a great vid! Wonderful shooting, great planes and a fantastic backdrop. I especially like the smaller Loganair planes ;) l would be interested to know what camera / gear you use?
the best moment at edinburgh is when youre on the train and it has to be so precise, but there is a small chance a landing plane will fly only about 50 feet above your head.
Flew out of EDI on a Continental 757 back in the day. Obviously that service is now with United. But it is still nice to see the 757 earning its keep at Edinburgh which is normally awash with A320s and quite boring for it.
oh this is my airport!! depending on the exact date i might’ve been working that day. i love watching planes land especially in the crosswinds we often get lol
Edinburgh Airport the most expensive airport in Scotland, it costs more than 3 GBP just to drop someone off or pick them up, greed beyond measure. At every turn they have designed and run an airport to make excessive profit.
Thanks Alex, from a fellow tall Calgarian, super nice to see my home country 😃 Although I would of thought Glasgow airport to be much busier? It certainly used to be, maybe Prestwick took away some of that traffic.
Absolute opposite now, Glasgow although being almost twice the size in terms of stands has less than half the pax numbers. Every long haul flight but Emirates and Air transat serves Edinburgh now and Emirates is looking to switch next year. The airport in Edinburgh is overcrowded to a ridiculous level while any flight from Glasgow feels like wandering through an abandoned airport. Recently Edinburgh has stolen almost every service Glasgow has apart from the Loganair pso routes. Ryanair recently increased the edi base from 5 to 10 aircraft, jet2 from 2 to 5. I could keep going, simply said Glasgow ha made an absolute and utter mess of its recent past while Edinburgh has both contributed and benefited from Glasgow’s downfall.

Great Video Alex Always Love the Plane Spotting Videos . Even Better At Edinburgh
These is the best plane spotting video you made yet
Fantastic that you caught the United 764, my favorite Boeing.
Superb (non shaky frantic panning zooming) footage and like the effort of putting flight info up.
I KNEW that first Delta 763 forgot his slats!
On what a treat for I have missed travelling to Edinburgh. I must return someday. Thanks so much!
You definitely get around Alex! :)

Thank you for sharing. Beautiful aircraft!☺
5:00 Those engines, although not particularly large, look ridiculously huge on those Embraer ERJ's
Great spotting! It was great to have United resume flights from Chicago to Edinburgh over the summer.
