Fun fact: Men in Black was originally published by Malibu comics, which was bought out by Marvel in the 1990s. That means the MIBverse could well exist in the MCU/SSU/FOX/whatever multiverse.
That's good to know I remember on the vhs it had the film said it was based on malibu while the back of the VHS said it was based on Marvel...or possibly vice versa, it was confusing either way

Men in Black: The Series is based on characters from the 1997 movie Men in Black starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, which in turn is loosely based on the early 90's comic book mini-series entitled The Men in Black by Lowell Cunningham, originally published by namesake Marvel Comics, originally owned by Malibu Comics. The show is set in an alternate timeline to the Men in Black film universe. The most significant differences in the series are that Agent K did not retire, and Agent J is still regarded as a rookie. Agent L is, however, a part of the organization, as she was following the events of the first film. Some episodes do incorporate aspects of the film franchise. While the series offers some internal continuity and extended plot arcs, it is primarily presented in standalone episodes. Some recurring themes include exploration of K's origins, as well as J encountering individuals from his life prior to joining MIB.

while I cant recall any specific episode, I do remember really enjoying this series, the art style won me over straight away as you could tell it was the same production team that made Extreme Ghostbusters :)
I'm really hoping now that since the first 2 comments mention the extreme ghostbusters style similarity, that all future ones will too- might be disappointed if that doesn't become the case
I see that's why they both looks very same graphically which i love it.. and that intro is a pure banger they really captured that grittiness.

I loved Men in Black, the first movie, and the series could have been good, but I actually don't remember any of the specific storylines.. Which says something in itself. 👽👾
It could just mean the men in black used their neuralyzer to wipe your memory of specific episode plots

I remember this! I loved it after seeing the film! The art style is very much like Extreme Ghostbusters, I think that’s why I liked it 😂
it is! MIB and ghostbusters generally remind me of eachother anyway even specifically within the films...except MIB is a super official organisation...and no one knows who they are while ghostbusters advertise themselves loads. I'm not actually sure why I compare them so much in my mind after this comment.
This was a great looking show but I barely remember what actually happened in any episodes. The intro is the bit I remember most.
That seems to be the way for most- I probably saw one episode and actually mssed the intro so it was totally new to me....and my god, what an intro
