Prey(2017) speedrun. No OOB & Glitchless. 79 min ingame time.

It's been bothering me that there is no 'glitchless' category for this game on speedrun.com so I decided that I should give it a try myself and this is my best attempt so far. I know that there are several mistakes and that the run is not optimized but I'm not really a speedrunner and this was just something fun to play around with.

This is great! Sometimes I actually want to see someone beat a game really quickly, not watch an exploit demonstration. (I just wish you'd edited out the loading screens!)

Thank you. I realize that the loading screens are tedious but I wanted to keep the video unedited to show that there were no saves/loads between areas. If I decide to do this again I'll be playing on a newer computer with better loading times.

I was curious too and I think it's because he's skipping dialogues that he's forced to here before some things open?

Nice, but why didn't you use the escape station ending, isn't it the preferred Speedrun ending because it's so easy?

Heya, thanks! Escaping is for sure the fastest way but I always felt that it was a kind of non-ending since it skips more than half of the game. I did this run to create a more interesting category and I felt that it deserved a proper ending.

so i watched this cuz i dlded the game and wanted to play it a bit.... now i know i should tazer alex to avoid listening to how he will give me the key and just get it faster xD
i wonder if there's a cathegory maybe wih killing all aliens or so ? or one where u need to kill all you see anyway ? regardless, i applaud your patience with each 15+s loadscreen ngl gg !

Heh, thanks. I built my computer on a budget back in 2017 so it's quite dated by now. That's why the loading screens are so long :P
I suppose there could be a category for killing all enemies but I don't know if there is some inbuilt way to accurately track it.

No, there's actually no reason for that decision other than that's my usual choice for games with RPG elements. It's entirely possible that it's faster to play as male.
