- Eddie and Elsie are my neighbors. Both in their 80's they are the sweetest, kindest, most loving and wise people you are ever likely to meet. I can not begin to describe how important their message to the world is at this time but I hope this film in some way can. Their love for each other, and their love for the world at large and everyone in it, is a triumph for humanity. They have spent a lifetime nurturing and putting in to practise their secret to happiness, and we're so lucky they want to share it with us. Please if u enjoy this and u are moved by their words, pass this on. The world needs more Eddie and Elsie right now.

The soundtrack in the background is what utterly transforms this piece from doc to art. of course the quality of singing an juxtaposition of contrasting scenes are all great . But the unusal sounds really transport me to a space thats quiet rare and ephemeral. I tweeted before and I will say it again quiet simply- Beautiful. In the real sense of what that word imbues -Beauty. Thank you to all involved.

Myles this moved me so, what a beautiful small film of two wonderful people from the motherland. The pause on modernization, the reverence for the natural world, and the songs. "The wind, the rain, the sun. All these things are dere, and if you can love them."

Eddie and Elsie, I want them tobe my next door neighbours, I guess they are in one way or another. Turned this on to give it a listen as I cleaned the kitchen this morning… the moment he began to sing, the tears began to roll, and they still haven’t stopped. It’s always been a favorite tune of mine, and I’ve listened to it countless times on an old My Fair Lady soundtrack on vinyl that was passed down to me by my great grandmother (who passed in 2011).
Elsie was mostly right when she said that not much wisdom can be gained by lookin’ at a laptop. But maybe she doesn’t realize just how much I’ve learned from watching this video today. Thank you Elsie, Eddie, and Myles. ❤️

Myles, here's your favourite italian driver. I just watched the movie, and i'ts a total beautiness. Many years ago I saw a black and white picture of two people taken just on their doorsetp. I think it was a Cartier-Bresson picture, but I could be wrong. It was so poetic, and I find the same soul in this movie, but with the words as a gift in addition. "You can love everything and everybody", what a simple and important message. Thanks.

とても感慨深い。ちょっとむずがしい話になってしまいますがこの歌はここで問題としている恋に落ちたその激情を歌った一つの恋の表現、だから、作詞者と同一の感動を感じた人しかわからないと思います。単に、恋に落ちた歌として聴いたのでは消化不良でしょうし、沢山の有名人が歌ってはいますが納得のいかないところだとおもいます。このdvd には感動させられました。
